The Dyson V8 Absolute is pretty much all I hoped for as far as features and attachments go. The only thing that would make it better than excellent would be a little bit better battery run time.

All-rounder vaccum!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the Dyson V8 Absolute for nearly a month now and have been impressed with the multi functional capabilities. Firstly it’s Dyson so works great in terms of suction power. It’s light weight makes it easy option for quite use and smaller work too. It comes with variety of heads for different floor/surface types which helps me vaccum on carpets/tile/wooden floor/car floor/stairs! The wall charging station concept is good to keep the machine off the floor, but would like Dyson to consider placeholder for all the attachments as well on the charging station. Overall a great machine for many different floor types.

Got this about a week after Christmas 22 and I love it. I have an older one that I wanted to replace. Once I received the new one, I moved the older one to the upstairs. What a difference not having to carry a sweeper up the stairs to clean.

Came with a broken head

I was so excited about my new dyson, but the hair removal head, the one head that I was excited about is not spinning, all the other heads work very well, but this one is not and I didn´t even have the opportunity to try it, it just came broken.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Has Never Worked Right - Would Not Recommend

I've literally owned this vacuum for 4 years (a slightly older model) and it has never worked right. We brought it to the Dyson doctor to fix about a year after we bought it, it ran again for about 6 months before only functioning on and off again.
I am so fed up with the lack of quality and inconsistency. We have to wash and clean the filter once a week, take apart the vacuum and then there is only a 50% chance that it will work. I can't believe that for the price and name Dyson, this product is such a dud. Is it too much to ask for a consistent vacuum that works everyday? I am at a loss of what to do, but ordering another Dyson vacuum is not on my list. Perhaps we received a fluke in a manufactured product and this is a one off? I was so excited to get this vacuum and now I am disappointed EVERY SINGLE TIME I use it because it never works longer than 15 seconds.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not happy camper

Battery does not last more than 15 minutes. Not strong enough to pick up cat litter. After vacuuming, cat litter falls back out of bottom and spreads everywhere. Absolutely not for rugs/carpets.

We recommend using the max mode on an as-needed basis, as the standard mode is ideal for the majority of cleaning tasks.
The V8's direct-drive cleanerhead is designed to delve deep into carpet fibers for ground-in dirt and debris. We recommend consulting your carpet maker to find out what machines would work best with their flooring. Most carpet makers will have advice on what machines are most compatible with your flooring.
