I have had this vacuum for about 2-3 weeks now, and I find myself looking for things to vacuum because I love it so much. This is my 2nd Dyson vacuum - my previous one was 10 years old (still works, but the button that secures the attachments is broken, so it's hard to use). I honestly can't believe the difference between the two vacuums. This one has so much more suction power, it's much quieter, it's so much easier to clean the basin and best of all the battery lasts about 5xs longer than my older version. It is AMAZING - and I got it on sale, and with a free set of additional attachments, so this was seriously a steal! After having a Dyson, I will never buy another vacuum. I tried buying a knock-off version a few years ago, and it didn't even closely compare. Dyson is the GOAT.

I purchased my Dyson V8 vacuum in January 2026. I had heard good things about the cordless V8. I am not impressed. V8 does not do well on large area rugs. Very hard to maneuver, battery charge last about 15 minutes on 1800 sq ft home. It does vacuum well on hardwood and luxury laminate flooring. Not worth the purchase and hype for me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great - Dyson never fails to impress

I've had many Dysons and they never fail to impress me. Being able to always keep it charging so it's always ready is fantastic. No cords, long battery life and cleans up great. Attachments are easy to remove and change. Just a great must have in your home.

Two issues:
1. Constantly having to hold down the on button to use hurts my hand.
2. The high suction drags on carpet, it would be nice if it had a carpet attachment.

Better than Expected!

Never had a cordless vacuum before, so I was pleasantly surprised at how much I love this thing! We have 2 dogs and lots of dog hair on hardwood floors. We use our Dyson everyday. Even my husband uses it and he hates vacuuming!!!! So easy to grab and go and not mess with cords. The suction is great and battery lasts for the entire house one charge. Love it!

I do not like this vacuum and will be returning it. I do not like the fact that it rubs the top of my thumb raw and makes it bleed while vacuuming a small home (~1330 sq. ft.) and I do not like the fact you cannot turn on a button to keep it running. I was very excited to get this vacuum and had high hopes for it but am very disappointed. It does a great job of cleaning and the suction is good but the very first time I used it, after fully charging, it only lasted 15 minutes on the regular setting and then died with no warning. It also takes a very long time to charge. Overall, not happy with the product and surprised to be saying that. I always thought Dyson products were so awesome.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Do not like the new dust container styke

I just opened my new Dyson that I was excited to purchase, however it has the new dust container in it. I do not like it at all! I thought I was purchasing the one with the older dust container style that comes off to empty. Very sad!!!
