The suction on this vacuum is awesome! It would be the best vacuum ever if I had purchased one that was corded instead of cordless. The charge does not last long enough for me to vacuum my entire house at once and my house isn’t very big.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have been using this vacuum for three weeks, and honestly, it's performance is good but battery life is very poor, with fully charging only last about twenty minutes, I have to use it very fast or recharge to finish the job, and battery takes long time ro recharge.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love it. My husband got it for me for my birthday. I love how light it is and easy to change heads. It is so convenient to have a quick, easy access, vacuum on the 1st floor of our house. i especially like the low & high power options - I use low on the hardwood floors and high on the carpets.Highly recommend it!
Essentially I love my Dyson. I did buy a refurbished one and it seems that it doesn't keep it's charge very long. But my place is small so it doesn't matter that much.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I replaced a DC44 with this model and I didn't expect much of a difference. I was wrong the V8 is better at what a vacuum should do. The tools are better and they attach and detach much easier than my DC44. Battery life is fine, I can do my whole 1500 sq ft home on one charge. I also purchased a hard floor tool with led lights and was pleased at how much it helped locate dirt and debris on my laminate floors.
This one is not as powerful as I expected. For the price, I was expecting more from it. My son has the V10 and raves about it. I was hoping this one would be comparable.

I’ve had this for three weeks and there are definite pros and cons Pro: lighter weight than my old upright, low profile so I can get under furniture, does decent job on low pile carpet and floor, like that I can detach and have a handheld vacuum for some jobs Con: did a VERY poor job when I used the handheld to clean a modest amount of dirt in my car, picked up nearly zero dog hair from fabric, weight at the handle means it balances strangely, exhaust at the handle means it blows in your face especially when using as handheld, all the debris collects on one side of the dust chamber meaning you have to dump more frequently than it seems should be necessary, no filter bag means that when you empty the dust chamber you are inhaling that dust, if there is any medium to long hair in there whatsoever it gets wrapped around the metal filter and you have to reach in to pull out the clumps of dust that gather around it, and each time I empty the vacuum I then have to vacuum the dust that fell on the floor. Finally you have to squeeze the trigger the whole time it’s in use—unlike, say, a gas pump, there doesn’t seem a way to lock the trigger so you can vacuum without squeezing it. If you have any kind of weakness in your hand arm or wrist this could be a problem. I will probably return and buy a different brand.
