My house is 1800 SF, all tile. The battery does not last for me to clean the floors and the takes hours to charge. Holding a trigger to turn the vacuum on is a feature that is uncomfortable.

Had to replace my V6 after the battery failed after 6 years and the replacement was almost as much as a new vacuum. Like how it empties compared to the V6.

It’s has performed well and I like the V8 for functionality however I don’t like the empty process it doesn’t open the chamber for me!

I’ve had the Dyson V8 for about 6 wks. It does a good job on both the carpet and hardwood. One thing I would like would be an on/off switch instead of having to hold the power on during vacuuming. I also have to wear gloves while vacuuming because the skin by my thumb becomes very irritated.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We were really excited to get this vacuum but we’ve been disappointed. It won’t stand on its own so you either have to lay it down and prop up somewhere if you need to live something while vacuuming. You have to hold the trigger down the whole time you are vacuuming so if you’re vacuuming the whole house then your hand will hurt. The suction is too hard to where it’s super hard to push on carpet- even in the regular setting. The battery also does not last long. This is not a functional vacuum. Very disappointing.
