Battery run time is less than expected. I'm a bit disappointed.

Great vacuum horrible battery. Out of the box it lasted 13 -15 min on regular power and only 3-5 min on max power. If you don’t mind charging it for 3.5 hour to do another 13 minutes you might enjoy the V8.Called service they said there was nothing wrong with the battery. The description said up to 40 min. on regular power. Returned the vacuum did not need a “dust buster”.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We've used our Dyson V8 Origin for several weeks now and continue to be very pleased with its performance. The suction power is unbelievable!! It's puts every other vacuum we've had to shame. It hangs nicely in its charging station and is attractive there. We did have buy a crevice tool to help us out in a few areas and were surprised that it wasn't included originally. It's easy to empty, relatively easy to clean, and has been a great help in keeping our place clean. A great value for the price we paid.

I bought this one to replace my old Dyson. The old Dyson lasted for 12 years! This one works a lot better!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am hot happy with the vacuum it not charging all the time I go to use it and it not charged I leave it plugged in all the time

After buying this unit , I decided to vacuum my carpet that had just been vacuumed by a highly touted other brand.The dust canister of my new Dyson was full of missed dirt.A true superior unit.

I won’t go so far as saying that I’m enjoying my new V8. It’s a vacuum and I hate to vacuum. However, it is absolutely the first vacuum that lives up to it’s promises. It gets the sand out of the cracks in my hardwood floors, it actually gets the dust, too (other vacuums say they get the dust but don’t). Dog hair doesn’t wrap around the beater! Run time is good, about 40 minutes, a little less if I use max mode. It doesn’t lift the rugs off the floor. I wish that Dyson had included a bag or something for storing the accessories. That’s the only negative.
