These Mesh routers are really Great but the main one gets Very hot on the bottom. I solved this issue with a 5v USB 120mm Fan that I plug into the router and set the router on it. So for the issue of getting very hot I take 1 Star. Super Satisfied with these (I have 3 of them).
I replaced an older Eero system hoping to get faster internet speeds with the Wyze. They are about the same, maybe a slight improvement. The app used to control the system is just ok, not as useful as the Eero app by far. Much less functionality. It does its job I suppose, just not overly impressed.
I anxiously waited for the release and arrival of my Mesh Router Pro. I got a 3 pack to replace my several years old Netgear mesh system, also with a base and 2 satellites. I know that Wyze is a competitor, owning nearly every product they have put on the market. I connected the base station in the same location as the Netgear system I replaced. The Wyze unit was 10 or 15 percent faster. Good news so far. The disappointment came when I hooked up the 2 satellites in the same locations as the Netgear system it replaced. Download speeds were a fraction of what they had been around my house, even right next to the satellite. The closest satellite to the router connected with 6E, the farther with 5. Everything worked fine but at best the speeds were about 1/5 of the speeds the old system and in some locations worse than that. I wanted it to work and reset everything and hooked it up again, still with disappointing speeds. with wired backhaul it likely would not have been an issue but I cannot string cable around the house. I returned the unit and bought a newer Netgear which has blazing speed and cost one 3 times as much. The other small problem is that I cannot remove the unit from the wyze app, even though it is no longer part of the system.
Had to return it due to fals information before buying it. Reason to return? The app misses a lot of features. First of all it was super hard to make parental controls work… till the end I couldn’t. That must be much much easier
2-nd reason is , the is no way to time limit devices on my network. For exemple my sons pc is set to a 2 hour limit a day with my old router… with this one you simply dont have that option.
Also you cant see what websites and any activity on connected devices.
A little tough to get connected to the modem at first, but after that the satellites setup fairly easy. so far has great coverage but not quite as good as my old orbi mesh and i'm using 3 wyze satellites where as I only had 2 on my old system? I would like to be able to select a router from the list and see what devices are actually connected to that one instead of having to look at each device to see which router its on! I am going to move the routers around and experiment to see where I can get the best connectivity and hope to see some of the updates soon for features I asked for in the review?
So far, it's been great. A little disappointed that the feature in original announcement to be able to use a USB drive to record all video from connected cameras is not present. That was the main reason I purchased the Pro rather than the standard router.
It’s ok, main advertised USB feature not available

Verified Purchase:Yes
I find that my Verizion router has better coverage. Still testing the overall performance. First impression, I expected better coverage than what I had. Waiting on the enhancement that will let my camera record through the ISB stic. .
