I always have high hopes for Wyze products, though in this case two major topics that lead me to return the units I purchased. My speed tests dropped on multiple devices. I performed a back to back tests on my desktop with Wyze router 243Mbps down, and 76Mbps up, with my Orbi Router it immediately jumped to 310Mbps down and 160Mbps up with routers and desktop in same locations on 5ghz. Additionally the satellites were NOT powerful enough to make the distance out into my backyard or make it to my detached garage like my older Orbi's.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only 4 stars because there are still some standard items that are missing from the app. Data usage / bandwidth tracking and reporting is a must have but it was replaced with threat reporting, which is also important, but shouldn't be an either/or. I would also like to see them add the ability to pin certain devices to specific routers in a multi-router setup. They have added the ability to give devices friendly names...THANK YOU WYZE!!! My last gripe is petty but there is only one 3ft. ethernet cable included in the 2 router pack. I know Wyze is more about value but that is pretty cheap. If they can get bandwidth tracking and data usage added back in the app I would say 5 stars. The performance over my 1st gen Google Mesh is way better. Setup was very easy so far. As the app and the device mature with updates I'm certain this will be an excellent value that can compete with other mesh solutions.

This product is outstanding and fast. However, the support for this product is very lacking. I still have not been able to get support for connecting my TiVo device through Wi-Fi. It has to do with port forwarding. I am not a tech person, so wise should have been able to fix it. The only option I have is to hardwire my wireless router to my TiVo. All other wi-Fi devices connected well. I did have a problem with my cameras on my Wyze app and once I reset all the cameras they connected.
It was not related to passwords or the name of my Network, as all my other devices connected seamlessly without having to update the password.

well since the Geek Squad did not do much to help me out except charge me $$#... I thought why not order 2 mesh routers and see if that helps! Voila! I don't even fully understand what they do... but it worked! and now I can watch all my alpacas all over my farm in 2 barns and in the fields! I don't live at my farm, and its WINTER.... wrong time for animals to be birthing but that's another story... needed a way to see what they are doing while I am home warm and safe inside.... thanks to Wyze, I am better prepared to rush to them if I see a birth happening on camera!

I will say that my WiFi speed is through the roof supper fast but I am a bit disappointed in the features that the routers offer. I can set a group but have no access to set up a schedule, so I have to turn off the ipads manually every night. I also dont like that the routers have to be placed very close together and they will only backhaul through WiFi and not through my cat6 outlets. Also, be carefull where you pit it, it gets really hot and may damage some surfaces.

Installed this in a brick ranch with finished basement. Garage with living space 40 foot behind house.
I removed two Netgear Nighthawk routers that were upstairs/downstairs in the house, both by a window. My internet is 200 mbs fiber optic.
With the two previous routers, I usually had ~100 mb/s output. Coverage was a bit spotty in furthest upstairs bedrooms and garage. Frequent slowdown and dropouts. Streaming to tv had frequent pauses.
Upon install and setup of the new mesh routers, I was now seeing 200 mb/s output. Strong signals to everywhere in house. TV streaming is now perfect. Good signals in garage for both internet and streaming tv.
I’m gonna call this one a win! Internet/streaming the way I always wanted it to be!

This has been one of the best routers that I have owned. It is the best mesh router system that I have owned. Extremely easy to setup and get running. Performance has been flawless since installing. (I ordered the first day they were available). I have never given a 5-star rating to any company, for any product, but Wyze has deserved the highest rating for all of the devices I have purchased. I have recommended Wyze and it’s products to everyone I know.

Great Coverage and Great Performance - not perfect

Like most people that get a MESH router they have a place that needs more than one router. I have had an older Orbi system for sometime, but it needed an upgrade. I looked at many different vendors, but the hardware chipset solution with the PRO was the deciding factor. For the most part I am extremely happy. The coverage of the Wyze system is far superior to the Orbi and has been a great upgrade. However, what keeps me from giving a 5 is the lack of a network map ( Netgear standard to show the Root/Sattelite connections ) and the lack of a outdoor satellite solution. I wanted better coverage and better performance -- I got that. I might be a whiner about the rest.
