It’s not working as good as the modem/router combo provided by my internet provider. Very disappointed as this router was not cheap.

Works when it wants to

I’ve been using this thing for a while now and it only works when it wants to. I’ve had my cable company come out because I thought my internet dropping was on them. I called about my modem because I thought it was the modem. I even went as far as replacing my modem. Nope it’s the Nighthawk. Drops internet every 10 minutes and that is with the updates. I’m not paying for tech support on such an expensive piece of a equipment that only works properly for a couple of months before it starts crapping out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loving it, especially after getting it set up (and kudos to the Comcast Xfinity support tech who walked me through the set up). 2.4 has great range, outside the house and into the woods! 5G is blazing fast - over 300 down and 12 up on my iPad (albeit only one room apart from the router). That’s as fast as the hardwire Cat6 connection to my desktop. Highly recommended.

Standing 2 feet from the router I couldn’t get faster then 60mb downloads. My 4 year old linksys wrt does 500mb at 20 feet. The nighthawk is getting returned
