The NETGEAR R8000 AC4000 is a nice looking modem. You can turn off the lights and I especially like it if the soldiers plugged into it are not being used, the activity lights turn amber.
The look is sleek and even though it has 6 stellar looking antennas, the range is a bit better than okay. I was say a hair away from very good. Outside of the walls of my home, it gets about 50 feet and then won’t connect, while other routers that I have had at the same price point have reached a bit farther (into my neighbors dining room). This router can’t go into his house at all, and he allowed me to use his WiFi to use when there.
The connectivity inside of my home is very good with little issue whatsoever a story up in the office. It definitely does the job on video AND gaming with a low latency of 22ms to the router and another 13ms is hardwired 25 feet away with cat5e cable. Very good!
I would buy again if had the chance. Ty NETGEAR for making a really nice router!

Since purchasing the wifi router that I purchased, it has doubled my wireless internet download speed and I have had no connection drops at all even in a slightly rural area. This product is a blessing!

This router has been exceptional thus far. The setup was easy to follow and the results have been no less than stellar. I have no concerns about my network security after completing all the network settings. Great value and piece of mind. Thank you for this product. Extremely satisfied.

Great range and strength

My R8000P was super simple to set up. Just download the app, plug in, and follow the setup steps. Took me longer to pull everything out of the box than it did to complete the setup.
The range on this thing it awesome. It reaches from one end of the house to the other with no issues. Great product.
