Overall a GREAT Router

I have been very happy with my Netgear ac4000/ R8000P router overall. Needed a powerful router that could transmit a strong signal in a 3400 sq foot home. For the most part I am getting the 250gb speeds I signed up for with my internet provider, even at the furthest points of the home away from the router..full 5 bar signal. :). In the last 3-4 weeks though..not sure if it's the router, or some weird interference in my home. I've needed to plug/unplug this router several times because the 5.7ghz bands don't want to connect to the internet, though it shows 5 bars of signal strength. Soon as I unplug, wait about a minute, then plug in the router again it seems to work fine. I never updated the firmware yet...maybe it's a simple fix. All in all though I am very happy with this router!

The Nighthawk has been with me for some years now and it has proven to stand up and last thru the long term use. I haven't had any issues with connectivity, uploading and downloading times or the upload or download itself.

I love this router. The metering of bandwidth us great. I also like the fact I can control the time it is active. Having kids these are some great features. That coupled with being able to have USB and or a printer connected to it is great.

Love everything about this router- the ease of setup, the signal strength and the access to help information should you need it. We’re using it to extend the signal for our network as well as to keep everything we had setup with our old network username and password and it’s working great.
