Nighthawk AC4000

This is a great little WiFi router. I always like to set my equipment up manually as I did with this router and it was very straight forward and easy to do. Reserving IP addresses was a little awkward but overall acceptable to accomplish. Router works fine and the range within the house is better than any I have own before. I got a -50dbm or better everywhere except at the far end of the house which was -53dbm. Antennae straight up produced the best signal strength throughout so I recommend leaving them in that position. So far this router has fixed all the issues I was experiencing, streaming video so far is excellent. Router runs cool and the LED displays easy to see. The only wish would have been a 8 port switch would have been a plus. Overall an excellent WiFi Router and I would recommend it for anyone especially if you need better WiFi coverage.

GOT THE DISTANCE

First experience with NetGear was back in 2018,before that i had used other wifi brand devices which never sent the wifi signal far enough , always had dead spots thru out my 2400sq. ft home, my netgear wifi router that i bought in 2018 recently stopped working, now i purchased the Nighthawk X6S AC4000 TRI- BAND WiFi router(R8000P), now the signal travels thru out my whole home,since i already had the Nighthawk Mesh X65 i decided to use both together, wifi signal reaches over 250ft. out to my backyard ,planning to buy the two year extended warranty for a great price.

Netgear Nighthawk AC4000

I have bought 2 NetGear Nighthawk AC4000 WiFi routers. They work awesome together one each sides of my house. I have internet speed through land line of 430 down 30 up, and now through the WiFi we get the same speed. Would recommend buying this router.

I had to reset every 30 minutes and this was the second one that purchased in 7 days and both I had to return.
