It’s so much of a leap forward for Routers

This NETGEAR - Nighthawk X6S AC4000 Tri-Band Wi-Fi 5 Router is absolutely fantastic. I have a mesh network running on top of it and it’s still an absolute beast when you connect directly to it. I recommend this Nighthawk over all other products in the WiFi 5 category and paired with a NETGEAR - Nighthawk 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem the performance is incredible!

Great router

Excellent speed and throughput. We have a one floor house with a relatively large footprint. The router is at one end of the house and provides good speed throughout. I did not give it 5 stars only because of my practice of never rating anything with 5 stars due to my belief that everything can be improved.

Great Router!

I started out using the ORBI and it was just too much router. And I wasn’t crazy about implementing MESH tech in my house yet. Anyway returned and purchased this Night hawk X6S. Very pleased with its performance. I have a 2k sq ft house and a media closet that I keep this router, a switch and a modem. Its on one end of the house and i get impressive coverage throughout my entire house even with doors closed at night. And it has Smart Connect which can also be disabled if you prefer to manually set up your wireless connections. Smart connect also allows for a single SSID rather than 3 or 4 connections with the 3G, 5G etc. It has fast speeds too. I pay for 200mb and every speed test i have performed boasts 230 mb. Setup was a breeze with Nighthawk app. ORBI was very difficult to setup using its App and a iPhone.

The router has many different settings all easy accessible through the convinent app. Tri band which is great to handle the load of many items. Also good range. Currently one floor up and about 50 feet away from the router and still have excellent service.
