Exceeded Expectations

After debating between a mesh system and the NETGEAR Nighthawk X6S AC4000 I am extremely happy with my choice. I have had my new NETGEAR Nighthawk X6S AC4000 for 10 days and everything from the setup to the effectiveness of the coverage has exceeded my expectations. The WiFi coverage is as advertised in my large home 4500 sg foot home. I would recommend this product to anyone.

With my old nighthawk, stuff would take a while to download. Casting items or videos onto my TV created frozen frustrating moments. New nighthawk is faster and Powerful.

Wished I had done this earlier

We own a 40 year old adobe home in New Mexico and walls are very thick. Getting internet and wireless to every room was difficult. With this new R8000P Router everything is working perfect. I should have done this earlier.

Hey this router does the trick. Our house can. zoom and Skype from any place! Even dropped it and had to tape up the antennas and still works great!

Finally Something that Works

I have always been fairly happy with Netgear products. This one is a winner. We have 17 devices running in the house. At any given point because of COVID we have two adults working and four kids doing virtual schooling at the same time. Throw in the iphones. The only issue is a couple of low spots in the house that could use an extender for a stronger signal. I forgot to mention the security cameras as well which is four of them and a front door lock. This Router is the real deal. The App is ok for managing the devices as well. Its placed in the center of a 3,500 sq.ft. home. I just need Netgear to make the extenders available for purchase as they have nothing in stock for a triband. Make sure you spend the money on a good modem as well for this router. Stick with Netgear don't try to use other manufacturers otherwise you might be disappointed.
I would recommend this to a friend!

AC4000 Unit Works Well; Technical Support Sucks

During the first 90 days of free technical support on the AC4000, technical support was resonsive to answer questions, however, the web application to configure and modify configuration is marginal (some pieces of the application is non-functional) even after two firmware upgrades. Their Apple iPhone app is very lame. Pieces of the iPhone app do not work, much like their web configuation utility, even after updates to the app were applied. Technical support will close your open tickets because they do not have the answers because their applications are partially non-functional and they know there are no current answers to non-functional pieces of their web configuation utility and their Apple iPhone app.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
