Must have...

I have a two level home and had some dead spots in some parts of my house. So I looked into getting something that would help with that. I saw this router and reviewed some others as well before I purchased. I have had NERGEAR products before so I wanted to stay with that and knew it was a good brand. I hocked up my router to my modem and started the process of the setup. It took me about 10-15 minutes if that via the app and I was up and running. I was excited to see if it would work. I went to the dead spots I had around the house and now no more dead spots. This was a great purchase and I would recommend this product to others looking coverage around your home.

Performs as advertised

This was purchased to augment a modem-router provided by our fiber cable service was inconsistent for wifi. Firmware update and installation were simple and straightforward with provided apps, as was connection to a previously purchased Netgear extender. The R8000p faster bands transmit the full 300 mbps signal available to us.

Not really that tech savvy, but smart enough to know we needed a new router, I bought the Nighthawk X6S AC4000 for my family for Christmas. Setup was fast and easy, and the results were phenomenal! I ran the speed test, and showed the results to my 15 year old. His blasphemous reaction was all I needed to know that I hit the mark this year. I won’t hesitate to purchase Netgear equipment in the future, and recommend it to others as an awesome, affordable product.

Great Upgrade

Upgraded from an apple time capsule with ac WiFi, The range on the knight hawk has far surpassed anything I expected, in fact I’ve turned the power down to about 50% for complete coverage around my 2000 sq ft home and still get service at my shop at around 150’ away. Couldn’t be happier. A little slow to reboot but other than that AMAZING!!!
