Working great so far

Just got this router last week and so far it’s been working great. The range on it is fantastic but I can’t say the speed stays the same the further you go out but it’s still loads everything even at a distance. Right next to it I’m getting over 480mbps when my plan is 400 down and 20 up so it’s great but I go about 30 MAYBE 40 feet away and it drops to 360. I’m not complaining because it’s still significantly fast enough but I just don’t feel like it’s that far for it to drop that much but that’s just me. Great router with great reach and the speeds keep up. Even in my back yard I’m getting reception without an extender. Time to see if it stands the test of time

This tri band stuff is next gen. The first band to run the smart home, the second for gaming and movies and the third one for my guest. I love it.

Easy install, phone app, awesome coverage

I got rid of my cable modem/router combo at the suggestion of a large satellite/phone/internet provider after I mentioned my connection had lots of buffering. I got a cable modem, and the Nighthawk X6S. It was an easy install and I did it with the phone app. Now my coverage is equally strong through the house and my speeds are much faster. I will save $ on the equipment from the cable provider and I will down grade the speed, save money, because the Nighthawk delivers great speed. Nothing but satisfied.

Love the coverage

Great coverage throughout the home. Only issue, we had a power outage and I had to completely set it up again after the power came back on. I found that odd, is it normal?
