Massively impressed!

This thing has blown away our whole family's expectations! We needed something with horsepower in a pinch. It was extremely quick to setup and is hammered by 12 devices with no delay or hesitation. The remote feature to monitor all devices has already been worth the money as it allows me to shutoff certain devices at will, which comes in handy with younger family m members. I liked it so much I went out and bought the Netgear extender to have s wire two printers into a hub on the other side of the house. I've recommended this unit to 3 other friends already. I will be a repeat brand customer.

Really good for multiple running devices

I recently upgraded after moving in with a few new roommates. I went from an Ac1900 to this bad boy and I immediately noticed a difference. I keep all my 4K streaming and gaming devices on the 3rd channel and all other things split between the first two and I never have had a lag spike or any issues while I'm gaming all while my girlfriend is streaming Hulu on her laptop and my roommate is watching YouTube on her phone. It's a great product and for anyone who is worried about multiple devices consuming bandwidth. I say just upgrade to this bad boy and watch your load times and lag spikes disappear.

To be very honest all I ever had in my life was 3 routers and they all where from linksys but this is my first time with netgear and I love it omg. Never again i go back to linksys. Your router software is awesome so easy to understand and work through. And especially the Mac filtering that means alot to me. It was so easy and self explanatory. Everything is there at ur fingertip. For now on it will be all NETGEAR. Thank you so much for giving this opportunity to enjoy your router. And in the future if anything else comes up in technology feel free to notify me. Once again thank you for such a easy, understanding router to work with.

Amazing performance

I picked this router up for our new satellite office. Setup was straightforward and easy. Anywhere I had a question about a setting, there was help info a click away which helped me lock down the configuration that I wanted. When it was time to set up the office I connected 18 new computers through the router (I had switches attached to the router - the router doesn't have 18 drops) and started running them all through some intense update downloads. The router handled everything fine, balanced the throughput perfectly and I was able to get it all done very quickly. This is the 5th Nighthawk I've used and every experience has been just as good.

The nighthawk has great range and speeds even at the ends of my house. I have it set up in the basement but it still has enough range to cover a little over 4000sqft. It has great functionality for gamers and everyday use, including smart home, tvs, laptops and of course mobile devices. I would definitely recommend to buy. Yes it's pricey, but you honestly will not have to upgrade for a while because of the routers capabilities and compatibilities. It was great because I can set up controls for guests and kids in the house via the simple app that can be downloaded to your phone. The set up took my about 5 minutes. All in all, great router! Worth the $$$.

Great Router

I had one of the first NETGEAR Nighthawks that came out and it finally was time to retire it. I got a great deal on this from Best Buy but was concerned with some of the reviews that stated it would drop internet connections and have to be rebooted daily. I can attest to the fact that this has not been my experience at all. I've had nothing but great service with this router and it serves all my needs. With my previous router, wireless users were getting half of the available bandwidth available from my ISP. Now, they're getting the full bandwidth. I have about 20 connected devices at any given time (wired and wireless) and this router is GREAT! I would wholeheartedly recommend it!

What a gem! We had been using an older dual band wireless router, which did ok at times, but seemed to struggle as we moved from cable TV to more and more streaming services. A move to a bigger house, required a beefier wireless router, and the Nighthawk fits the bill. Setup was extremely easy, and straightforward. Looking a bit like an Imperial Cargo shipbfrom Star Wars, the Nighthawk's capability extends from the basement (not an ideal location, I know) to the second floor of our house. We have run direct Ethernet connectionscto some of our busier items, though certainly not as a necessity. I am still learning some of the functionality and settings, but very pleased, as usual, with Netgear.

Netgear R8000P Fixes Bandwith

With 4K devices, computers, tablets, phones and blue ray players hooked-up to my network, my older router was not capable of buffering correctly for streaming services like Amazon or Netflix. However, the R8000P allows me to assign a dedicated 5GHz band to my main streaming equipment, so more bandwidth is available with the necessary buffering to avoid lag or data loss problems. All other devices are split between the second 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands.The range is farther, the number of device running at the same time without problems is exceptional, and the unit is not an eyesore in our living room - great design. Outstanding product for todays demanding devices. The R8000P exceeds all expectations and works well with my Netgear C7000 modem. Buy it! You won't be disappointed.
