Get slammed with DDOS and slows don dramatically

When I purchased this device I thought what a good specs it has! Ilooks great and is very thin compared to other analogs. Then while using it I notice slowness of the internet I have from Xfinity(300mbps) to 1-2mbps, I thought `WOW`. Net thing I checked the settings and noticed in log, that every time the speed drops it has report of ocuring DDOS attack. Now it's happening like 10-15 times during one hour of use. Unfortunately I have to deal with it on daily basis. Very sad.

Awesome Router

Router is super easy to hook up. The first one we got had a default in it that didn't let us connect to the internet. Chatted with customer support, and they were super helpful. We ended up having to return it, but the second one worked perfectly fine. The speed is amazing! We had a belkin router and we had slow internet being in the same room with the router. With the Nighthawk, I can be at the other end of the house and have great internet speed. It is well worth the cost.

Apple to Netgear transition

As a serious Apple user I was crushed when Apple dropped out of the WiFi market. I was filled with dread about moving to a modern router. I was very impressed with the utilities available to manage and set up my network and the ease use the initial setup. Very little effort later and I had optimized the router for my network and am seeing the benefits of this remarkable Netgear router. My network is better in every way and I have lost nothing by moving from Apple to Netgear.

Great product!

I get a new router every couple of years to stay with the newer technology. No real favorites but this one is starting to change my mind. My son and I play PlayStation and my wife and daughter stream 4K movies and TV shows...all at the same time while having all of our phones and tablets active on the WiFi. Incredibly easy setup using the Netgear app. Changing the admin info and settings on the router is a breeze! I have absolutely no complaints with the Nighthawk AC4000.

I bought this router after trying a few other ones that didn't provide me with a strong enough WiFi signal at my house. My internet speed was around 30Mbs but after purchasing this router i got my speeds around 300-400 Mbs. This router covers all parts of much house and the 5gz signal is really strong and hasn't given me any issues. I would highly recommend this router because if your paying for fast speed internet this your best bet at utilizing the bandwidth you pay for.

Fast and High Range Wifi

This Nighthawk X6S is exactly what I was wanting when I was searching for a new WiFi Router. Not only do I get a far range in signal I also get the speeds to go with it. I have at least 8 devices connected to my network and do not experience any lag or have any devices knocked off the network. This was a great investment; definitely worth the amount I paid for this router.I would highly recommend this product for those looking to play online on any gaming console and/or stream 4K UHD videos.

WiFi Heaven

Before I purchased my Nighthawk X6S. It was purely a nightmare for my wife and I. We purchased a new home (3000 sqft) and could not get wifi anywhere down stairs for the last year or more. I finally decided to change out my system and purchased the X6S. Now we have wifi everywhere, it was spendy but worth every penny. I have also decided that from this day forward I will never buy anything other than NETGEAR. If this is what heaven truly feels like then I can't wait. Thank you NETGEAR.

Worth every penny!

This router beat out all other AC3000 and above linksys, Asus and other routers I purchased for my parents house. It even detected an IP conflict with the ISP during setup and automatically changed its IP to avoid the conflict! (They have fiber optic). The signal strength out to the back guest house is strong enough to stream 4K Netflix without an extender and with my extender out there it enables us to have complete mesh coverage of the entire property! Like the title says, worth...every....penny.
