Amazing router!!

It's amazing the difference this router makes to everything connected in my house. This router handles everything I've thrown at it. Two levels almost 4000 sq ft home and roughly 20 wireless devices. Lights, thermostats, cameras, streaming devices and computers/laptops. Setup was a breeze. I loved the fact that it asked if I was replacing a router and basically cloned the old router.
I'm very happy with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Absolutely the Easiest Installation and Use

I can tell you it took me less than 10 minutes to be on the Internet and up and running. The unit itself is flawless and fast. We can see the change immediately in running our games, email and downloads. All of our phones are connected. It seems to reach all areas of our two story home. No repeater needed at this time. Just want to say excellent device. Worth looking at if you have gaming and WiFi use in mind or everyday email checking...would recommend purchase.

Almost perfect

I pass thru a Spectrum modem/router to the Nighthawk. WiFi coverage is excellent as are the features. Only 4 stars for the annoyance of the nighthawk resetting the LAN IP's to default when the Spectrum router/modem resets for whatever reason. I have to manually reset the default LAN address when this happens. i.e. It resets to 192.168.1.1, which is not the IP LAN that I use in my home network. Thankfully this doesn't happen often and only affects ethernet devices.

Amazing router

It does amazing it will run our phones computers smart TVs and 3 Xbox ones online have 6 people who live in our house and it made our internet run how it was supposed to and it's full capabilities I would recommend it to anyone and everyone I talk to about it I'm very very pleased with it the app one the phone for it is great as well to test the speed and control hat devices and running to maximize the internet great for the gamer and family with a lot of kids

Never had an issue with this, and it's really fast, unlike the X4S I've had before this. Now I cannot live without tri-band. It makes a huge difference downloading simultaneously using different bands. It also makes a huge difference have a slow 2.4ghz device network, and split the 5ghz up so TV and game consoles on one, and phones, computers on the other. Even load, and using Dynamic qos with device priority.
I have this router hooked to to a C6300 without issues.

I love this product

I recently moved into a roughly 3000 sq ft home and this router reaches everywhere in the house. Everyone has full connectivity everywhere. The router is EXTREMELY easy to set up, control and edit settings. Netgear literally gives you every tool you need in order to edit what your children can see online, what sites they can go to and best of all, you can set individual parental controls for individual devices. I hands down, would not choose a different router or company.

Easier than Apple

I have worked with Apple equipment ever since the 128k Macintosh came out and this was at least just as simple, if not much simpler to set up than Apple products. Whenever I get a product outside the Apple scope of hardware I always imagine the set up to be difficult and frustrating. The AC4000 was a breeze to set up and I begin using it within minutes of unboxing. The AC4000 may look like an alien mothership, but that's just because it will baby you with it's ease of use.

Stable, Reliable, Fast, Good Coverage

Workin Great, no problems! I've read several negative reviews about having to reset the router frequently. I've found two things. First, make sure your cable modem is not a POS! Second, it may be that when you access your router settings using VPN then bad things happen. I have a CM1000 NETGEAR cable modem and a NETGEAR Nighthawk X6S AC4000 router. Very solid performance. No resets required. I get the maximum throughput from my ISP and once they go Gb speed, I'll be covered.
