Great upgrade

I recently needed to update my wireless system at home. My wife and I both work remotely (through internet) and have used lan cable only for over 11 years. I have been very sceptical of wifi for years. But at seeing to performance she is receiving I will be going wireless myself next week. Set up was easy also got comcast out of my network as well. I would definitely recommend to the gamer or home professional to upgrade your system.

Netgear nighthawk AC 4000

I am expert IT person and I owned several routers, but this is by far best router you can own. Prior to purchasing Netgear router, I Purchased Linksys 54000 thought 8 antennas will help, but it's worse than my old Linksys router, it kept disconnecting my wireless devices. I had to reboot it every day. So I return that router but I am so glad I got this one. So far I have full connection and no more rebooting or dropping connection.

Excellent range and speed!

If you are someone who still uses the ISP provided router, you have no idea what you're missing and with this Nighthawk router, you'll get every Mbps you pay money for. I went from Wired 8Mbps '†’ 55Mbps and wireless 4Mbps '†’ 45Mbps. Obviously the increases will depend on what you pay for and what you're currently getting. As for the range, I used to use 2 WiFi extenders, now they are unnecessary and sit unused in a box in the garage.

Worth every bit of the money

I was a little concerned that this router wouldn't perform up to my expectations based on the slightly higher price but boy was I glad to be wrong. Coming from an old Arris SBG6580 the Nighthawk was like night and day (no pun intended). Our modem is unfortunately placed in the corner of our home so WiFi is a little tricky. Even our tv/game console on the opposite corner of the house picked up a great signal from this router. It's a beast.

Nighthawk AC4000 is a wonder

This router is great it was purchased to replace a one year old router which was suffering from too much interference from other networks in our surrounding area. This area seems to be immune to that interference only issue is we have only had it for about a week and have experienced two drops so far which required us to reset the router. I would recommend this router to anyone who has multiple devices as it seems to handle them with ease.

What an improvement!

I'd had my previous router for a number of years, but determined it was time to look at something new. The Associate at the store where I went suggested that this router, the Netgear Nighthawk AC 4000 would be a great improvement, and he was right! Everything is faster, the router handles all devices -- computers, cell phones, TV's and my Ford SYNC with no problem Worth the price -- and the setup is fast and accurate! What an improvement!

Excellent All Around Router

Prior to using this router, I used the standard one provided by Verizon. Among being easy to set up and seamless, it provided speeds above and beyond what the original router was dishing out. To top it off, the router comes packed with a high range antenna which makes a world of a difference. Having the app as a means to manage the router is also a game changer and especially convenient in comparison to the competition. Top notch router, 11/10.

Great Router

The router and its operation are great. The only reason that I gave it 4 stars was the difficulty in its setup. This was a replacement for a router that died so one would think that this would be close to plug and play. After speaking with Netgear, my ISP and Geek Squad, everyone was pointing at everyone else. After 5 hours on the phone, a different tech at the ISP provided a straightforward solution which included doing a reset on the router.
