Netgear knows networking!

A real pleasure to install and configure in less than 5 minutes. Fast uploads and downloads, strong signal strength even though I paired it with a netgear nighthawk mesh X6S wifi extender for the upstairs part of my townhouse (and it was just painless to do). All my local network was already managd by Netgear switches which never let me down, so I am confident this router will do a great job.

Great Product

I have a large house and was worried about speed and coverage. Will my old system my kids could never get internet in their rooms, and I always wanted to watch a movie or the game outside on my patio, but was never able to get a signal. Now, with the Nighthawk AC4000, my kids have fast service in their rooms, and I have been enjoying tv outside by the fire pit (I stream tv.) Thanks Netgearr

Gamer and Streamer

I bought the Nighthawk on recommendation of employee at Staples looking for a router to handle multiple gaming desktops gaming and streaming. So far the router has performed amazingly. having three bands, two of which are at 5GHz, has helped free up bandwidth of each gaming device and thus online games run smoother and we have much less stress and throwing mouses because of lagging out in pvp.

Set up a new Nighthawk X6S AC4000 router in my home where both my wife and I have home offices.
The installation was "plug & play" and painless. We were up and running within minutes of opening the box. Smoothly integrating and connecting with all of our wireless devices.

The Nighthawk app is very good and intuitive - allowing easy access to and management of the router's settings.

WiFi speed is superb as expected from NETGEAR.
Line of sight range is good no issues.
Configuration is easier than expected.
Cons:
So far there is no openwrt or similar firmware available. Though it was claimed in the description.
WIFI both 2.4 & 5 GHz did not work on the other rooms. I had to buy and extended which worked like a charm.
SMART SSID had some issue and it never worked.
Line of sight range is good no issues.
Configuration is easier than expected.

Best Purchase

My families Internet was very poor quality. I constantly had to reset the service due to the slow speed produced. I purchased the Netgear Nighthawk and the Internet amazing. With four cell phones, desk top, lap top, 2 tablets and three gaming systems, the Internet is lightinging fast! No lag in the system and my family is happier than ever.
I would recommend this product to any busy household!!!

Great Router From Setup to Uptime

Router allowed for both traditional Web UI setup, as well a convenient to use, user friendly app. Setup was seamless, features are great, the app allows for remote control. I've maintained an Open NAT when gaming since I powered this thing on. Stable uptime, hasn't let me down. Range is great, getting a strong signal well past expected distances. Overall one of the nicest routers I have ever owned.

Excellence at it's best!

After researching the best routers on the market today and pricing them, the Nighthawk X6 AC4000 provided the best bang for the buck by far at it's price point. Very easy set up for those unfamiliar with networking, but robust enough for IT adepts being rich in features. The range is also superb with it being able to cover my entire home without use of a range extender. Definitely worth every penny!!
