Good hardware, Poor app

The router hardware works fine. I get the same speed wired and wireless. The Nighthawk app lacks: ability to configure (must use web interface), real-time traffic monitor, MAC mapping.

Easy setup,fast,No Extender needed

Setup took about 15 mins with app-My speed went from about 56mbps to near a crazy 400- my old router required an extender to reach my back rooms! No need with this router- I'm getting full strengh everywhere now. This router is a true game changer for us- we have many wifi devices running at the same time. phones,couple rokus,smart tv,wifi AC,3 wifi security cams, etc. And all run smooth without any hicups. One word-Awesome

Miss my Apple router

Don’t misplace the directions!

I bought this thinking I was buying an all in one modem and router (my bad for not reading the description carefully enough). So then I ordered a new modem a few days later. Meanwhile I lost the directions to the router. So when I went to install the modem, I spent almost 2 hours on the phone with my ISP, and then still had to call Netgear for help with the router. By the time I got on the phone with Netgear, I was cussing and crying in frustration. However, the Netgear customer service lady had me up and running in 20 minutes total (including about 15 minutes of time on hold waiting my turn in the call-in queue).
