Good router but poor Firmware support

Latest Firmware Version 1.4.3.88 has a bug with DNS. It has been there for months and there is no info from Netgear when this will be fixed. The firmware response and updates are very slow.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing speed and range

Had beef using a Netgear WNDR4500 for the last 12 years. Wi-Fi speed was low compared to wired, streaming services crashed and the services were becoming unusable. New Netgear Nighthawk: am getting 280 Mbps through walls at 20 ft distance, 298 Mbps measured for router, streaming services are rock solid, and my Apple products, Android products are the fastest they’ve ever been. Wired connectivity for work@home, done. Full speed with CAT8 at 50ft and 65ft cables (2 laptops, two different rooms). Future proof for another 7 years or longer. Got 12 out of WNDR4500. Worthwhile upgrade. Setup just like old router. 10 minutes and everything working perfect.

this router is amazing and helps out with the multitude of devices that i have in my home! the bandwidth stays the same and it never drops unlike my old router in which it did all the time but this router never did!

Nighthawk is ALWAYS my go to. NETGEAR makes a superior router and this one did not let me down. It went ABOVE expectation with all the features that it has and of course providing a smooth and stable connection from a wicked fast fiber drop.
