Learned to sew on my Mother's machine ( I have her last machine and it's still works). First one I bought was a Singer, passed it one to family and got another. This is my first "new" style machine and I'm still learning. So far my impression has been good.

A bit lighter than I'm used to, but love the way it stitches over bulky seams. I use it for making quilts and ordered the extension table that goes with it. Using that when quilting tends to stabilize and keep the machine from moving around as much. I really like the variety of fancy stitches available. Am very happy with it.
