Maybe TOO good?

It says lasts up to 90 days, however, after barely 30 days, it was whistling so bad I had to change it. It apparently does a REALLY good job! I do have a pug and 2 kids, but I didn't think it would clog that fast.

Better HVAC performance with this filter

I downgraded from a High Performance Filtrete filter to this one. Blower speed from vents doubled. AC runs less. Lower bill. Happy camper.

It works

I have used the 3m Basic Pleated filters over a long period of time and have found that they do a good job filtering out dust. I live in an old house with some old ductwork, and keeping the filters changed regularly helps tremendously in keeping the dust out of the house.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had always used the glass fiber type since that's what was in the furnace when I moved in. After having to replace the furnace and getting too old to get to the attic (where the darn thing is) they vendor put in ceiling intake vents with the same glass fiber screens. A friend told me to 'upgrade' to better filter the air. Not wanting to spend much on an experiment I tried the basic filter and have been happy with them ever since. An added bonus - in the winter months I don't dust as often.
