Great OTC Hearing Aid

I have been using the original ION hearing aid for about a year and think they are a great OTC hearing aid. When the ION PRO came out I thought that the added features would be a great enhancement and asked my wife to surprise me with the new hearing aid for Christmas. She did. I immediately started using them and was particularly interested in the connection to my iPhone and ability to hear announcements and get phone calls through the hearing aid. Indeed, they do that fairly well. But what I discovered is that to hear information from the iPhone clearly, I had to push the hearing aids into the ear canal further which blocked more background noise and it made them slightly uncomfortable. I continued to use them for several weeks thinking I would just get used to them but they just kept feeling uncomfortable unlike the original IONs which are so comfortable I forget they are even in my ears. I decided to return them and keep the original IONs even though they don't have the convenience of connecting to the iPhone. I still would rate them as 5 stars but they are not quite as comfortable as the older ones
