Simply amazing. Water isn’t truly water until it has passed through the AquaTru. It’s like drinking liquid from the gods themselves! I would highly recommend getting this product!

Love my water purifier. Water tastes great. Only thing I dislike is the remaining water that doesn’t get purified and must be discarded. It is a lot of water left to discard and is wasteful.

Pros and Cons

I've had the countertop model for about six years now, and it does everything it says. The water is amazing and you don't have to hassle with any plumbing changes, which is great, especially if you're a renter. It even takes Fluoride out! I don't love that the tanks are plastic, but what are you going to do?
However, unless your kitchen is completely devoid of sunlight, you will accumulate algae in the plastic tanks. It's mostly easy to take care of with bleach, but there are parts of the tanks that are inaccessible that the algae can find a way in over time. If you have even one window in your kitchen, I recommend buying or building a cabinet to put the unit in, in order to block out light.

Water Smells like Sulphur

I recently purchased the AquaTru Classic with the mineral boost. The water smells and tastes like rotten eggs. When I called for assistance, I was told that the smell and taste is a result from the mineral boost. A new non-mineral boost filter (that I need to purchase!) is needed to remedy the issue.

The water where I live

The water where I live comes out of the tap smelling strongly of chlorine. After I run the water through the AquaTru there is no hint of chlorine left and the water tastes much better. I add a few electrolytes to my purified water and I absolutely love it. I now prefer it to all water and always take a jug of it with me when I leave the house.

Leaks

Unless you want to ruin your countertops / clean up flooded countertops from it leaking almost daily don’t buy this. We have to replace an entire section of our countertop from this leaking and getting underneath our counters from it leaking over night. Really unfortunate with how expensive this product is.
