AquaTru Lives Up to Great Expectations

The water tastes great and is refreshing. I keep one gallon in the refrigerator for my workouts and 2 others at room temperature. I've had no issues since I got it 3 months ago.

This has been such a lifesaver for my family. The water provider we have continually sends out notifications as they have too much of this or that in it and are legally obligated to the us. Now I dont have to worry about it! I bought an external ice maker to use this amazing water and we are all set!

While this is cheaper than many other filters, it is still expensive for someone in my income bracket. I decided to bite the bullet on the cost because the quality of the water and the quality of the equipment is above average. We have very hard water here and this really cleans it up.

I like this overall but think there are design flaws/difficulties. It is bulky & odd shaped...had to build a shelf since it used up too much counter space. It leaks from the spout if you move the whole unit for cleaning. If you put the filtered water tank in the fridge...the spout sits directly on the shelf (I'm not a germafoab but I do not eat/drink items directly off my fridge shelves). The unfiltered water tank is hard to clean and get the normal calcium deposits out of it despite soaking in water/vinegar 1:1. The lid and handle should come off for cleaning but makes it awkward to clean. I have to clean my unit 2-3 times/week instead of weekly as suggested to keep it truly clean/deposit free. Also there are "ports" that the unfiltered tank sits on where there is standing water...I did not see any instructions on that. Been sticking paper towel in to dry it but it's never completely dry. Great concept, but has design flaws.

Perfect Solution

The water quality is excellent, it's simple to use and I can handle it all myself. In the past, my husband & I always had a regular RO system, but they wasted a lot of water and I would not have been able to manage the filter maintenance. Being a widow now, I was so glad to hear about the AquaTru on the EWG website. I didn't want to be hauling bottled water all the time, or need to bother a friend for R.O. maintenance. I will say that I'm glad that I already had a good water softener, because the water where I live now is 18 grains hard, so past the limit for the AquaTru recommendation, and people need to be aware of that.

Best tasting water

I love my Aquatru machine. It makes the best tasting water I've ever had. I can't purchase reverse osmosis way that tastes as good. That being said it is a little expensive when need to buy replacement filters and you're on a fixed income. I have never had a problem with mold or an off taste. I clean mine out after every use and leave the kids off till thoroughly dry. I just cover it with an impeccably clean cloth :grin: The main thing I don't like is never knowing when my replacement order is coming which takes about two weeks. And I haven't found the combo I would like to get being one of each filter instead of having to buy two of each of just the combo of two yellow and one green. Other than that I'm thrilled with it. I purchased mine way back with the pre order before you could even buy it. Don't even remember the date but glad I got one. Thanks for a great product.

Works great. My wife needs pure water due to her allergies and edema. This was a great solution for us. The survey didn't allow me to select not applicable for customer service. I never had any interaction with customer service.

Pricey but worth it

It was hard to want to spend that kind of money but once I received it it was so worth it. Knowing that I’m giving my family healthy clean water is worth every penny. And it taste great! Super easy to use too!
