Great tasting water

We already had a great three stage under the sink water filter when I was told about AquaTru. I purchased my AquaTru to take with us when we travel, so we don't have to buy water. Besides, I don't like to drink from plastic.
Well, I like the taste of the mineralized water so much, I use my AquaTru at home for drinking water and my other filtered water for cleaning vegetables and cooking.
I'm about to order new filters to take pur AquaTru on vacation.

AquaTrue Classic

We've owned our AquaTrue Classic since 20018. It is very reliable, produces quality water and is easy to maintain. We make an average of four tanks of water per day, for drinking and cooking........... that's a lot of water in five years. Pre filtering the water with a faucet filter has definitely added to the longevity of the three AquaTrue filters and the AquaTrue unit itself. I am very pleased.

I have been using Aquatru for a few years now and love this water purifier! This was a great investment and I love how convenient it is to keep everything functioning properly. The cleaning process isn’t always the most fun but if it means I’ll have safe water to drink, I’m down. I’m loving the alkaline water filter currently and I recommend for those who love extra crisp, smooth water!

Avoid at all costs

I very much wanted to love this water filter, as the water tastes great - but there are so many problems with it that every time I use it, I wish I had a better option.
First, I'm shocked at the fact that algae grows in the front tank, which is the FILTERED water. So after removal of all the contaminants, it still grows algae? And the AquaTru told me that this happens - I just don't understand how this can happen if the water is supposedly the "cleanest". Even my old Brita water never grows algae, so I know it's not my water.
Second, on top of the algae, there is also mold that grows under the lid and at the bottom of where the containers meat the stand, and it's also at the spout where the water comes out. I clean it with vinegar weekly as recommended by the team, but still this happens and it has continued on for the 3+ years I've had this filter. I feel slightly gross every time I drink the water, but I paid so much for this filter, so I continue to use it.
Third, this is a smaller thing, which I can overlook, but it is quite annoying. Every time I push the button and release, the water comes out, but the some drops will leak out. I have to put a towel under the spout, and every day it is soaking wet. Again, this is okay, but it just seems annoying that I have to deal with this when my old filter does not have this problem.
I have contacted AquaTru multiple times about the first two issues, and all the tell me to do is clean with vinegar regularly (which I have done for the last 3 years), and to either bleach my aquatru (one of the reasons I got this filter in the first place was to avoid the chlorine in the first place) or to buy a new aquatru - but the same issue would occur, as I would have the same cleaning routine and the same water. They have told me multiple times that the issue of the mold and algae happen and is common.
So if you're going to buy this filter, you may want to consider the possibility of mold and algae.

The best water!

We have the classic counter top purifier, and I love it! Easy to fill and definitely recommend getting the slider accessory for easier dispensing. I can't drink any other water after having the Aquatru.

I love our classic AquaTru water filter. Water does taste great, but more important is the ease of use and peace of mind in knowing our city water is now safe to drink. With so many contaminants in our water these days, it is difficult to put a price on something as precious as safe, good tasting drinking water. Thank you AquaTru!
