i got this machine to specifically do hats... Maybe 4 have come out perfect, and the other 50 have all been a mess. It continues to keep getting worse! It will do most of the hat good and then it will only start showing the bobbin thread instead of the color thread. I have tried all the trouble shooting and have been struggling with this machine for several weeks! not worth the price tag!
While I did receive compensation for this review my opinions are my own and I am providing an honest unbiased product review. The PRS100 is a free arm embroidery machine so doing embroidery on sleeves, hats, pant legs, socks, shoes and many other items that are not flatbed friendly embroider easily. I really like the on-board bobbin winder; I can wind a bobbin so I can have my bobbin thread match my top thread for free standing lace or two-sided embroidery, beautiful! The hopping foot gives you wonderful embroidery and if you want a free motion machine a kit is available for free motion. It is a strong, hardworking machine that gives beautiful results.
Although I am being compensated for this review, my opinions are my own and my review is honest and unbiased. My Persona is a sweet little machine. I love that she has the tubular arm capability, this makes embroidering on blanks so much easier.....no need to take things apart. The hoop size is perfect for monogramming and I can embroider hats with her! One of the really nice touches that you don't realize you will love until you have the machine is the thread cutter built into the threading area. It takes away the need to find your scissors to change colors. I love that Brother thinks of the little things to make the products user friendly. There is so much that I like about this little goddess that it is hard to choose my favorites, but the automatic needle threader has to be included in that list!
I have never been happier with a machine. Zelda is super easy to use, but still feels like she is a high-end machine. Makes life so much easier. I truly have no complaints. The only suggestion that I have is possibly some sort of light on the front of the machine to make putting the thread through the little hole easier. But, that's nothing that a flashlight doesn't take care of for me.
I have had my machine about 3 years. Very easy to use. they really need to add a light to the front to make make threading the machine (thru the little hole in the dake blue face) easier to see when using dark colored thread. Other than that it is a good machine.
I love my PRS100 I’m still learning things about it but I have already embroidered more in the 3 months that I have had the machine than I did the machine I had for 2 years!! It’s so much easier doing the smaller items than my other machine.
