I have multiple Chromebooks as well as laptops, the Chromebooks have 4gb and the Chromebook Plus I purchased with 8gb was supposed to be an upgrade and faster but it's actually slower. It has12th Gen i3 processor... Not sure I'll keep it

I think I got a corrupted laptop

I love the build of this Chromebook Plus laptop. However, I have been having issues with it since I first started using it - namely, it would not power down properly. I would just get a blank white screen. I would also get the same white screen when I select "Restart". I have done several power washes to this Chromebook. It would behave for most of the day....until I power it down at night. Please advise!

Dear Chicago888

Thank you for reaching out.

We do understand the inconvenience this may have caused if the Chromebook will not completely shutdown. To resolve this problem, disconnect the AC adapter and let the battery drain completely for 24 hours to clear the memory and reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, reconnect your AC adapter, do not power on the Chromebook until the battery was charged. It will not power on if the battery was completely drained even if the AC adapter or charger is connected. Once battery is fully charged, boot up the Chromebook, ensure it has access to a stable and internet connection to automatically install any OS update, if available. If you need further assistance, please email me at cl-rodel@asus.com and I would be more than happy to help.

Thank you for choosing an ASUS product.

Regards,

Rodel
