I love not having to buy gasoline, but even more I don’t have to mix 2 cycle fuel or pull the start rope until my arm falls off. The battery blower and trimmer are easier to use, quieter and don’t make nasty exhaust smell. Feels much more peaceful and tranquil to use.

The 80V battery is quite heavy so learning how to balance the trimmer while trying to cut evenly takes some time to get used to. The trigger action is a bit different but by the 2nd or 3rd use, I got used it and was able to control the speed pretty much the way I desired. It's a bit heavy for a long work job but for small lawns it's great. My only concern is that it doesn't come with proper instructions on how to put the trimmer together out of the box. When I first started the trimmer, the bottom part fell off and flew out. I had to figure out how to put it back together myself.

I have 80volt versions of the mower, 18” chainsaw, and more recently the 16” string trimer and leaf blower. They are built well and have the power for any task I have put them thru. I was especially impressed by the power of the blower.

This weed whipper is perfect for me! I needed something heavy duty to go thru the weeds on our farm, but light weight and easy enough to start by myself. This is amazing! It lasts over an hour of heavy duty whipping and recharges in 20 minutes. It starts immediately with the push of a button, no choke or pulling a cord. Can't recommend this one enough. Its our first Greenworks tool but won't be our last!

I ordered this following the recommendation that it would fit a Kobalt 40 V trimmer and I agree, it is a a great fit. It is also more solid than the original!
