This trimmer is so powerful. I’m still learning how to handle it for edging and so far I have to relearn how to reload string. I’m pleased that it acceptor .095 line
Pros: Durable, Effective, Powerful

Not a reliable product

The bump feeder breaks easily and the replacement head has been sold out for months. Hard to recommend this product given the performance challenges and lack of support for the product.

Terrible string replacement, trashing this tool

I bought the Gen2 version of this. It worked great--until it was time to replace the string. It's almost impossible to get the cap/housing off, despite the cheery instructions to press the two side buttons. Youtube is full of people expressing frustration and recommending oil, finding hidden bolts (mine doesn't have one) and so on. I'm giving up and getting a new one, which is super aggravating. I have several Greenworks tools that are great, but my new trimmer won't be from Greenworks.

The spool cover should be removable by pressing the side release tabs, but dirt, debris, or buildup around the housing can sometimes make removal more challenging. Such a nuisance!!

Bought this at the beginning of summer. The bump feature doesn’t really work, the weight is very awkward, and I can’t get replacement string that fits (even from Greenworks website). I am so very frustrated with this next to useless tool! Even though I spent too much on this item, I’m tossing it and finding something that works.
Pros: Quiet
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great machine while the parts last! Trimmer spool head wears out incredibly fast and then you can't buy another one!!
