Replacement heads unavailable

Trimmer head wears out after one year and is always out of stock. Now just sits in my garage, waiting for 1.5 years for a head and still can't get one. Fair warning!

Over time, this use will naturally lead to degradation and the need for replacement.
To help extend the life of the trimmer head, we recommend avoiding frequent contact with hard surfaces, keeping the cutting line at the proper length, and regularly clearing debris from the head to prevent excess strain.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This string trimmer has tons of power to blast through the toughest pasture grass and even small saplings. Works great with .095 or .105 string, haven't needed to use anything bigger yet. The weight is really well balanced with the battery up top and the motor down by the trimmer head. It's a little heavier than other brand trimmers that I have, but the balance of this trimmer doesn't put all the strain on one arm like the traditional top mounted engine or top mounted battery/motor style trimmers. The battery life is significantly better than my other trimmers that run 40 volt - 58 volt systems.
Pros: Convenient, Cost-Saver, Easy to Use, Quiet, Durable, Environmentally Safe, Effective, Powerful

Terrible trimmer, great mower and blower

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the mower, leaf blower and string trimmer last year. The mower is great, very powerful and easy to use. Run time is excellent and battery recharging is very quick. The blower is also very powerful and easy to use. I even used it during the winter to remove light snow. The string trimmer however is a horror show. It is heavy and difficult to use. Plenty of power but the string is constantly jamming, breaking and fails to feed properly.. I cannot go more than two or three minutes before I have to remove the head and rewind the string. I have owned several other brands of trimmers and none of them was as difficult to restring as this machine. I cannot recomend the trimmer bot the mower and blower are excellent.

Based on what you have described, frequent jamming and line breakage are often related to how the trimmer line is installed or the type of line being used. We recommend ensuring the line is wound evenly and tightly in the correct direction indicated on the spool, overlapping or loose winding can prevent proper feed. Using the correct diameter line specified for the unit is also important, as thicker or lower-quality line can increase resistance and lead to jamming. Additionally, avoid overfilling the spool, as this can restrict movement and cause the line to bind. If the line is brittle or breaking frequently, soaking it in water for 12- 24 hours before use can improve flexibility and reduce snapping during operation. It may also help to tap the bump head firmly on a hard surface while running at full speed to advance the line properly, and periodically check the spool housing for debris that could interfere with smooth feeding. Very easy set up and easy to use

The Greenworks trimmer was very easy to set up and a pleasure to use. Even though it’s professional size, it’s extremely well balanced and the shoulder strap is very comfortable. All new yard tools should be built like this!
