I waited a few months to add this trimmer to my Greenworks pro 80V system. My rural property needs a trimmer that can handle heavy brush. On it's test drive with the supplied string I was able to take out a patch where I wanted to plant fruit trees. It handled it great. I need to play with the shoulder strap for the right length (definitely needed).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Spool cover cracked

Spool cover cracked after about a month of usage but was still usable until this week. I see I have landed upon the "Broken Spool Angry Hearts Club" page. At least it's good to know the problem was probably a crappy cover and not me misusing the device. Otherwise I like the product.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought this trimmer and its fantastic. I went through 2 gas trimmers in the past and your trimmer is The Best trimmer I ever owned. Wish you come out with a battery power broom.

I needed to clear a hillside behind my house of brush. I used this unit with a RYOBI Expand-It 8 in. Brush-Cutter Trimmer Attachment. The combination was perfect. The 80v brushless motor works effortlessly for a long time with even just the 2.0 Ah battery. It’s comfortable and easy to use. Highly recommend. I used this unit as a test for the Greenworks 80V system. I’ve been impressed enough that I’ve added a chainsaw which also impressed. Now I’m waiting on the inverter (for car camping) and a blower. All use the same battery.

I’m so happy with my new 80 volt tools. I can now trim my palm trees without a latter! My new 80 volt blower has so much power that I now it makes my tasks at home much easier than sweeping my back patio. I’m now going to order a pressure washer and and extra battery because I love my new tools. I strongly recommend Greenworks tools!!!

These are not particularly durable for a part designed to be hit on the ground in order to reload weed trimmer string. So I bought 2 figuring that I will undoubtedly break another.
Ps it took a year for these to become available, the design of the tool does not allow for a universal replacement spool of any kind.
