Not Easy To Use

Wrap string, hold string with fingers, mount string spool on head, pull string through openings on each side, keep in place with your fingers, and push the spool cover down to lock in place. Not that any string spool system is great/easy, but this one requires a contortionist mindset.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Heavy and big...difficult to use

I bought this unit after having a great experience with the Greenworks leaf blower (best yard tool ever). But this unit is very big, heavy, and difficult to use unless you're a pro football linebacker. Also, the strings are cut frequently and the unit does not automatically compensate. I do not recommend this unit.

Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We're very sorry to hear that some aspects of this design did not meet all your needs as you expected. This is a bump n’ feed unit. The unit must be turned on and you will need to tap the bump knob on the ground to release additional line. Trimmer line of about 1/4" will feed out each time you bump the head. As long the mechanics for the line release are understood and exercised you should have no issues releasing line. We hope this information has been helpful.
