Not worth the money

We have 3 different models of hot+cool fans and all of them start having problems once the warranty is expired. None of them heat anymore. I would expect much longer life from a product this much more expensive than other brands. Or at least a better warranty.

Does not cool

We bought this a month ago to use as supplemental cooling / heating device. At first it seemed to cool, but after a week or so of use, it would only blow hot air. We even set the cooling setting to the absolute lowest. Very disappointed.

I had high hopes for this device - especially the multi-functionality in a compact size. I have been very happy with my Dyson Vacuum. So when I decided to buy an air purifier, Dyson was one of the first brands I investigated. I also did a lot of research on other air purifiers before deciding to buy the HP07.
The unit worked well for about 4 months, but then it started to develop a high pitched whistling noise. I sent it in for warranty service when the whistling noise became worse. It came back within about a week. But after a few days of normal use, the fan started running rough making scraping (like metal or plastic rubbing against each other) and clunking sounds. It also came back from the repair center with several scratches.
Before the problems started, I was very happy with this air purifier. It was reasonably quiet - particularly set at speed 4 or lower and there seemed to be a significant improvement in my apartment’s air quality. Also, during this past summer, we experienced a lot of smoke in our area due to the Canadian forest fires. Despite the high pitched whistling noise, the unit performed very well with keeping the air in my apartment clean during that time.
Some general pros and cons
Pros:
-The iPhone app works well and is easy to use. Providing outdoor air quality information is a nice feature.
-The air quality sensor and availability of serval air quality indicators for pollutants.
-Seems to clean air very effectively.
-Heat function works nicely.
-Small footprint.
Cons
-The fan in this unit is not really an effective substitute for a traditional fan. I was initially hoping this could replace the fan I usually use when sleeping, but that wasn’t the case. In order to have enough air flow (at the level of a typical fan), you need to set the speed at a higher level which is too noisy to sleep.
-My experience with the warranty service was not good. The fan started making noises again after just a few days and they left scratches on the machine. I think it would be fair to expect the service center to both fix the machine and not damage the machine in the process. I also didn’t like that they sent the machine back to me in a small box with very little packing material when I had sent it to them in the original box.
Due to reliability concerns, I would recommend looking elsewhere for a good air purifier. Given the high cost and poor reliability, I regret buying this machine.

A Breath of Fresh Air

I recently purchased the Dyson Hot+Cool Purifier and Heater for my master bedroom, especially considering the well-being of my newborn. The impact it's had on our living space has been nothing short of remarkable.
The Dyson Hot+Cool Purifier and Heater has significantly improved the air quality in our bedroom. It quickly eliminates odors and impurities, leaving behind a sense of clean, fresh air that's ideal for our baby. It's a reassuring feeling knowing that the air they breathe is of such high quality.
The heating function of this device is exceptional. Even during chilly nights, it warms up the room quickly and maintains a consistent temperature, ensuring a comfortable and cozy environment for our family. The ability to switch seamlessly from heating to cooling as needed is a convenient feature, making it a versatile year-round appliance.
So far it’s been a good heater. A couple complaints. The temperature is very difficult to read. There’s a fairly big screen but it mostly only shows the air quality graph. The temperature cannot be set in the app. Only with the remote. I found out that it does turn off by itself after 9 hours.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We purchased this two months ago for our split level home. My head clears in minutes after entering the room from outside. Can't wait to try the heat in the colder months. The auto feature is awesome, I do nothing it takes care of the air! Gotta download the app next so I don't have to get up....
