Expected better considering the price

I like the purifier features, mobile control and the automation. However, the fans are much louder than expected and the it is not very energy efficient when using heating mode.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best air purifier to date!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So glad to have this product in our bedroom as we just moved into a new construction unit. The air flow is very powerful, yet quiet. Two new features on this model enhance the product’s function. First, you can adjust how much the unit rotates - allowing narrow or wider room coverage if needed (up to 180 degrees). Secondly, this model allows you to ventilate by having the air blown away from the unit. This is very useful when you don’t want the air flow to disrupt what you are doing (e.g., to avoid a pile of papers on a desk getting blown around). I think this will be more useful in the winter when you want heat.
One negative is that the Dyson app cannot set auto temperature for heating. You actually have to get up to set the auto temperature using the remote control.
Overall, highly recommend this.

App didn’t much use with this fan

First - let me say that we love Dyson. Almost every product we have has impressed us and made our lives easier. For that reason, maybe we missed this in the product description but the WiFi connection/Dyson Link on this device is pointless. It appears there has been a new law passed that prohibits controlling heat/cool temperatures from a mobile app, which Dyson points out they are in compliance with if you try to do anything other than turn the fan on/off. Okay, a little inconvenient but it’s okay, I’ll just set the schedule as I have on other Dyson Hot/Cool fans, but that is also not possible due to that compliance. So you can’t really do much from the app except see some data about air quality, switch to “auto” or turn on/off entirely. We wouldn’t have purchased this device had we known about that inconvenience.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The HP07 Purifier Hot + Cool was re-engineered to deliver 50% cleaner air, then previous Dyson air purifiers. The HEPA + Carbon filter also captures gases and 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 microns.
I can confirm that the HP07 is compliant with safety standard UL 1278, as required by the US Government. As a result, heating and temperature control outside of the cooling fan mode are not available via the Dyson Link app for heater models. We would in that case recommend using your machine's remote control in instances where you wish to utilize the heater functionality of our machine. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Since the control of products over the internet is still new technology to regulators, in the US now, products contain more stringent requirements until a better understanding of all risks is understood.

Favorite thing I have bought recently

I bought this because I wanted a fan that didn’t have the “weird heater fan”.
By filtering the air before it hits the heater so far it accomplishes the purpose I got it for.
I think the smell is dust burning on the fan.
It’s also very beautiful. Just wish it was easier to control with HomeKit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm very impressed with the product. It's very quiet even at high fan speeds and when used for heat, warmth is dissipated evenly in a room. There is less need to crank the central heat on since the Dyson does the job quite efficiently. The remote control has a magnet that allows the device to be attached to the Dyson and let me tell you, as someone who loses remote controllers quite often, this is just an awesome idea. With regards to it's ability as an air purifier, I would say that it does the job well. I noticed a decrease with dust along the entertainment center where the Dyson is located. Looking forward to warmer weather when I can use to Dyson to cool me down.

Very good purchase, will buy again if I need another. Only thing that sucks is the application on the phone prevents me from turning the heat on, forced to manually do this with remote. Also, the for the price of this device, the cord is short, so most people might need an extension cord. Also wish it would let me know how much electricity it’s using on led depending on usage level.
