Great for my Living Room

I live in a small condo with plaster walls that don’t hold heat well and with heating/Ac wall units. I use the wall unit to set a temp and then the dyson to maintain a comfortable temp. Works well and it is not loud. If you put the flow above 5, yes it’s louder but nothing compared to my wall units. Super happy.

Great overall

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this machine for about 6 months and have been using it constantly. We moved from SoCal to Cincinnati, and this fan has been great with regards to cooling and filtering the air in my bedroom. My entire family (dog included) suffers from allergies and we have Dyson’s in every bedroom and the family room. The capability of Dyson to filter the air is just great. In my bedroom, I haven’t had any allergy symptoms this summer, so this machine delivers. As for heating, it does do a great job heating evenly. The only negative I can find is heat can not be controlled via the app (it has to be done via the remote). This is in accordance with UL 1278 compliance, so it’s out of Dyson’s hands. If you don’t plan on changing the temp all the time, than this is perfect. If you like to tweak the temp than you may have to have the remote always in reach. Overall, great machine and I love it.

Warm, not Hot

Uses warm heat over long period of time to increase temperature. You can’t leave this off until you want heat because it could take an hour for the HP07 to warm the room. In addition, you can’t turn the heat on an hour prior to entering the room because the app isn’t allowed to turn on heat. Seems our government won’t let us burn our houses down with space heaters but it’s okay to set leaves on fire and inhale it as long as they are collecting taxes from it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. We're sorry to hear that in your use, you have found that the Dyson Purifier Hot+Cool™ HP07 isn't providing the heat you had hoped for. Your machine does offer 10 airflow speeds to choose from, and you can also select a target temperature of up to 99 degrees Fahrenheit. It can take some time to provide heat to a whole room, and the time it takes will be dependent on room size, how high the ceilings are, any window or door drafts, etc.
We at Dyson take safety very seriously when developing new technology for our customers, and we want to ensure that safeguards are built into our products to minimize hazards and risk to our customers. Since the control of products over the internet is still new technology to regulators, in the US now, products contain more stringent requirements until a better understanding of all risks is understood. This is why the heating and temperature controls have been disabled via the Dyson Link app, at this time. I can confirm that our heater+purifier machines are all compliant with safety standard UL 1278, as required by the US government. We are certainly sorry for any inconvenience that this has caused for you. The heating, as well as all other functions can still be carried out via remote control.

This replacement has worked and been super quiet for well over six months. The first one developed an annoying motor noise after a few months. Dyson warranty service is the worst in the universe - you have to convince them the unit is defective, then you have to ship the defective unit back to them (find a box to put that thing in - unless you keep the original box a MAJOR pain). Then they decide to ship a new one back to you at their whim. Without question the worst service anywhere.
The unit is super nice. It heats up so quickly. The fan ramps up whenever it detects bad air (no idea why, for a couple of days it detected higher VOC's and was running pretty fast, eventually cleared that out).
The bad news - due to US safety laws (at least according to the app instructions), the heat function cannot be controlled by the app. You have to use the remote control to turn that on. That's a pain for me. I bought this thinking from the family room, I could warm up my bedroom before I went to sleep. Nope, have to go to the bedroom and turn on the heat.
It does a good job of maintaining temperature.
Even at high speed the fan sounds good.

Love it! Only reason for 4/5 is that my first one made an obnoxious whistling noise and It needed to be replaced. Luckily customer service was very responsive and helpful

Does not clean the air from pet smells

I bought this a year ago and I have bought additional air purifiers to make up for the lack of cleaning that this purifier does. I am disappointed with the cleaning quality. The space heater works very well, but the cooling is just a fan and I still needed an AC unit to cool the room. I wish I would have just bought a regular dyson & not this version.

With regard to cooling off your space, our purifiers & fans do not have Freon, so they are not an air conditioner, but it does work better than standard fans. Dyson fans use Air Multiplier technology to create a powerful stream of uninterrupted airflow. Air is accelerated through an annular aperture, creating a high-velocity jet of air. This passes over an air foil-shaped ramp, channeling its direction and creating areas of low pressure behind and around the fan. The change in pressure forces surrounding air to be drawn into the airflow, resulting in a powerful stream of smooth cooling air.
