Quality prints, prints double-sided too!

I love the double-sided print option, saves paper! The wireless feature is so convenient. Glad I went with this printer. We homeschool and so we print quite a bit, I don’t feel bad purchasing PDFs for curriculum and printing myself.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What I needed

I got tired of the old ink jet always streaking my print job because it wasn’t used every day. I spent a fortune in ink and wasted paper just to clean it before I could successfully print just one label.
This printer has lots of features and it’s always ready. It prints super fast and I always get clear copies and it prints double sided on request. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because if the internet goes out, I have to manually reconnect the printer to wifi. I mostly use air print so it’s irritating to have to get up and go reconnect before I can print.
Other than that, I really love this printer.

setup nightmare

Every time I need to add the printer to a PC, I need to connect via a printer cable. The peak power surge is just shy of 1000w so you need to be aware of what you have on the same circuit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I put in the cartridge, plugged it in, and we were ready to go in minutes. No setting the family up or training them how to use the printer. Dad technical support now happy!

Why did I wait so long?!

After a decade or more of replacing inkjet 4-in-one printers every few years, I searched for recommendations. This was Wirecutter's pick and I wish I had purchased it years ago. I really don't need color ink for the few documents I have to print and this printer is great; easy set up, and prints quickly and flawlessly from PC and phone. And, really, who uses a fax anymore? And no more wasted ink cartridges.

Great printer that meets our needs

We replaced an older Brother laser printer that was inadvertently rendered useless when someone plugged the USB cord into a power outlet. I had never been able to connect it wirelessly so I decided to try a newer model. Easily hooked up to network and it has been working great ever since.
