[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I replaced my 10 year old Cuisinart coffee maker with this OXO product. It works as advertised and brews a great cup of coffee.
We have tried everything to try to keep the coffee from cooling in the carafe, including boiling water and adding it to the carafe for about 15 minutes beforehand . Nevertheless, after about 90 minutes the carafe has lukewarm coffee. Also, the coffee maker always drips whenever you pour a cup, it is very frustrating. I expected much more from this coffee maker after its Wirecutter review and also owning many Oxo products. I would never buy this coffee maker again.
Impressed with quality but mystified by one engineering deficiency

I am very favorably impressed by the quality of the materials used and the workmanship. The engineering is also generally excellent. Which makes it all the more surprising that there is an engineering deficiency of the aesthetically attractive and well constructed carafe. It is impossible to pour out all the contents of the carafe! It isn't a lot. . . . perhaps a tablespoon of coffee. But it is even difficult to get it all out when you take the screw cap off and turn the carafe upside down! There is no reason why this need be so. A minor reshaping of the interior neck/cap area could eliminate the problem.
8 oz is a cup-however when I use a measuring cup to the 4 cups mark with water, it fills your coffee maker to the 6 cup mark. That to me is deceptive-marketing of your coffee maker.
