Beautiful coffee maker

Not only are the products designed well, but the company truly stands behind them with great customer service. This coffee maker has a sleek design and is smart looking. It’s design sets it apart from other drip coffee makers on the market & is very appealing to look at. It has some nice features that include programmable and shower head water distribution. There are a few areas that leave a bit of room for improvement. The coffee maker is pretty tall and it’s a tight fit below cabinets on kitchen counter. It also is larger than other options, which might not make it the best choice for people with smaller kitchens & limited counter space. Perhaps not best option for one person in household who drinks coffee. It would be a great fit for families with large kitchens & multiple coffee drinkers. The unit also does not keep coffee temperature hot for extended period. Overall, I think this is a beautiful unit & a good option for families with large kitchens and plenty of counter space.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sleek, stylish, great coffee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a self-loathing coffee addict who knows his way around coffee drinks. I generally prefer espresso drinks to regular coffee. I find that it brings out a better flavor and is a little lower maintenance than coffee machines I've owned in the past.
Set-up:
This coffee machine really impressed me. The out of box experience was solid - extremely easy to take out of the packaging and very little waste. Following the instructions on the inner lip of the box allowed me to have my first cup of coffee in maybe 4 minutes max. You just plug in the machine, rinse the individual pieces, plug in the silicone stirrer into the carafe and fill up the reservoir with water. When you want to brew coffee include one of the filters they include. One critique is I wish more standardized filters would work with this machine. I have a ton of filters from a popular pour over coffee brand and the shape of the OXO machine doesn't allow for the filter to fit. Same with a grocery store coffee filter. I understand they wanted to have their own design and it probably is better than the grocery store ones - but those ones are cheaper per filter. The machine also looks consistent with all other OXO products - it's sleek, stylish, looks great in any aesthetic.

Putting in the coffee:
I decided to follow the instruction manual because I wanted to try their recommended recipe. The recommended is 1 OXO scoop of medium ground coffee for each cup of coffee you're brewing. I like to brew with grams because I find it more reliable than volumetric brewing so you just multiply the cups by 8 to get the number of grams (ie. 1 cup of coffee = 8 grams of medium ground coffee). I weighted how much coffee the scoop holds and it's consistently between 8 and 10 depending how the coffee is ground.

Something that confused me a little was I thought I would be able to fill up the reservoir entirely, and then just brew small amounts of coffee cup by cup. I think the options are either 2-4 cups or 5-9 cups so if you wanted say 3 cups or 7 cups I'm not sure what you'd do. I imagine either fill up the reservoir to exactly that cup amount (which would be admittedly very easy because the reservoir has really easy to read lines) or just brew more than you need.

This is hands down the most flavorful coffee I've had from a coffee machine. I can taste most of the notes I know the beans to have and I've never gotten that from coffee. Usually I find coffee makers will burn the coffee giving it that bitter gas station taste, or you just get "bean water" because the coffee was not immersed in the beans long enough. I think this machine gets the flavor right. I still think a high end espresso machine would give you a little more flavor but you're looking at investing probably 5x more money for that very subtle difference. Up to you to decide if that's worth it.

Sleek, Contemporary, and Functional!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Right out of the box it was obvious that this coffee maker is a quality piece of equipment. It has a sleek, contemporary design that I love, and it performs exactly the way I want it to.
As you would expect, assembly is extremely easy, helped by the clear and concise instruction booklet. I was happy to see that a small supply of filters was supplied which meant I could commence brewing right away.
Never having had a stainless steel thermal carafe before, I was looking forward to seeing how it performed in terms of freshness and hotness compared to my previous coffee maker. Even after a couple of hours, the coffee had remained as hot and fresh as when it was first brewed. The taste of the coffee also seemed to be superior.
The machine and its components means that the overall height is more than I envisaged. I can fit the unit under my kitchen cupboards on the work surfaces below, but what I cannot do is open the compartment lids to add both water and coffee. This problem, however, can be solved by pulling the unit forward each time.
The controls are very easy to use, even the programmable timer. It is handy to be able to choose between 2-4 cups or 5-9 cups as you do not always want to make a full pot. If you want to make more coffee when you have guests, and because the thermal carafe keeps the coffee hot, a second carafe is a possibility. I am looking into purchasing a second pot.
This coffee maker is a winner in my opinion. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but more importantly it makes a great cup of coffee that retains a good temperature in the thermal carafe. I would definitely recommend it as I am very pleased with it.

The water mechanism showers evenly over the coffee grounds resulting in better and more flavor since all of the grounds are getting saturated. The carafe is so beautiful looking,keeps coffee piping hot and fresh for a long time. The design of the entire coffee maker is sleek,modern and easy to leave in countertops since it doesn't take up a lot of space.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this OXO Coffee Maker to review. I am so lucky to have tried his amazing brewing system. This is by far the best coffee pot I have ever owned. The coffee doesn't take long to brew and stays hot for hours! I even used it to make hot water for my children to enjoy a cup of hot Chocolate! I loved the fancy design, time display, the brew alarm works wonderful. I especially loved the bubbles that go up the center tube in the water! You get the worlds best cup of coffee right at home every morning everytime!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like my Oxo 9-Cup Coffee Maker. It looks beautiful and modern on my kitchen countertop. It’s neat to watch the water tunnel up to be percolated with the ground coffee. The stainless steel carafe is insulated and keeps the coffee warm for some time. Brewing 2-4 or 5-9 cups of coffee is simple to set up and program. The coffee comes out hot and tastes delicious. Also, the coffee machine has parts that are easy to remove, which makes cleaning easy. Overall, it’s a good coffee maker and I recommend it.
