[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The OXO 9 Cup Coffee Maker is really nice! The unit is attractive, it’s easily assembled and prepped, and it makes a great cup of coffee. This coffee maker is really easy and fast to set up. The instructions are easy to follow, and the coffee maker is very user friendly. I love that this coffee maker comes with a wake-up timer. It’s nice to be able to program when you want your morning coffee. The coffee maker does need to be de-scaled every so often to maintain it. My biggest complaint would be that it stinks like plastic. It otherwise is easy to use. It works great, it makes a good cup of coffee and keeps my coffee hot. I would recommend it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As one who was very attached to my old coffee maker, I was not really prepared to fall in love with a new one. But that is exactly what I did with this Oxo. It's a truly gorgeous thing, with a clear water chamber that bubbles up the center giving you a show while it brews. The entire machine is sleek and modern and although it is a bit tall, it doesn't really take up any more space than my old one.
The design is one intended to get the very best out of your coffee with an exact temperature control and a "shower" head inside that first blooms the coffee and then brews in short cycles for maximum extraction. It used a cone filter which I understand actually gives a better extraction of the grinds. The carafe is stainless steel and insulated so there is no warming plate to keep reheating (and ultimately burning) your coffee. One of the neat little things about the machine is that it begins a viewable count UP when the coffee is ready and it counts for a full hour so you know exactly how long it has been sitting in the carafe, a nice feature!
So why didn't I give it a 5? There are only a few things that dropped the rating for me. One is that there is no notification sound when the brew cycle is complete, something I am used to with my old machine and one I would prefer for this one. It doesn't brew a large amount of coffee. It says "9 cups" but that is an old fashioned 6 ounce cup size, something most of us left behind long ago. For our 10-14 oz cups, it's more like 4 1/2 cups after brewing, which is great when it is just the 2 of us but not so much with others around. I would prefer a "12 cup" but I guess that's a different machine.
Finally...the one size fits all single control dial. I know I will get used to it but I don't care much for it. It really enhances the appearance of this coffee maker but for folks used to a switch or two, it is slightly annoying. Everything is done by dialing it in. The dial lights up to a soft blue color and while beautiful, I would prefer my simple switches. In my humble opinion, one should not have to read a manual to learn how to use a coffee maker.
Overall, it is a great coffee maker and I highly recommend it. While looks are much less important to me than the quality of the coffee, I really love its appearance. I highly recommend it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 3 weeks ago and I am very happy with the product. The carafe kept the coffee hot. It is very functional, easy to use, and easy to clean. Simple buttons. Most importantly, I did not see any coffee grounds in my coffee.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this OXO coffee maker a few weeks ago and so far I love it. It was pretty easy to set up. I love that it is programmable. The double wall carafe keeps my coffee hot longer but the carafe doesn't feel hot on the outside. My coffee tastes amazing.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is coffeemaker brews the best cup of automatic drip coffee ever in my opinion. I'm a diehard french press fan, but the OXO Barista Brain comes very close and does a much better job of filtering fine gritty grinds. The key to this coffee maker overall is the simplicity. They don't overwhelm you with options, it's straight to the point and it delivers on quality. The initial soaking of hot water the grounds makes all the difference between an average cup of drip and fully bloomed glorious full strength coffee. My wife thought it was just another overpriced coffee maker, but once she tasted the difference, she was sold! Love this product!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this for a few weeks now and just love it! The auto brew feature is so great. It has a sleek design that looks great on my counter top and the stainless steel matches my appliances. The shower head feature simulates poor-over coffee to give my coffee an extra flavor boost. I also love that the carafe keeps my coffee warm for hours.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a bit difficult to use and understand at first. Once I figured it out, it was pretty easy. The coffee it made was very smooth and more creamy. The pot kept the coffee warm for hours. I enjoyed the freshness timer. The pets and filter holder were easy to take apart and clean.
