It’s looks nice. Makes a good cup of coffee. We were in dire need of a new coffee maker, kept previous one for many years, so still trying to get use to the new one. Think this was a good replacement for our old one. A nice upgrade. ?

Great coffee, attractive on the counter, however, a little difficult to clean properly. A
S recommended, I descaled and now the red exclamation point won’t go off. Small bananas, but somewhat annoying for a newer and pricy item.

Plastic odor and taste persist

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Based on Wirecutter’s review and recommendation, we purchased this Oxo coffee maker. We washed all the parts and ran two (and more) cycles of water through the unit but we were not able to remove the plastic smell and taste of the coffee. Oxo replaced the unit but the second unit had the same problem. The strong plastic smell persisted, so we returned this unit as well.

Brews Fast—Perhaps Too Fast

We’ve had the Oxo 9-cup coffee maker for years. When it came time to replace it (due to its continually running), we purchased the same model. Unfortunately, the water runs through so fast that the coffee has little body, and we need to use more grounds to get more flavor, which means spending more money per cup. Using more grounds results in a stronger cup but it still lacks body. The coffee and filters we use haven’t changed. Maybe there’s a way to slow down the brew time, or I wait for mineral buildup to slow it down.
