Best home brewer

This is hands down the best home brewer I’ve had. The factory recommended amount of grounds to water is quite high for my taste, but once I had it dialed it makes a great cup of coffee. The price point is affordable when compared to similar types of brewers. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for a better cup of coffee over the standard brewer.
Pros: easy to clean, metal insulated craft, no warming plate, simple controls, price.

The carafe leaked unless the top was screwed on excessively tightly. I wasn't crazy about the plastic tube in the carafe (for mixing, I suppose).
The maker operated very quietly and efficiently.

Love it!

I am in love with my new coffee maker. It took me a few days to get accustomed to its perks and taste of coffee. I found out that I like my coffee better when I am heavy handed with it, and this machine comes with a big scoop, so I just use that. It also helps to get high quality beans that you grind fresh. I invested in a good quality grinder at the same time. I mean, you would not run a Ferrari on cheap gas, right? Anyway, I love the coffee, it is FAST, done in less than 10’ probably. And I love that the coffee stays hot in the carafe for more than an hour instead of using a hot plate. Thus, once the coffee is done, you can take it anywhere you want to drink it: your home office, the porch, the bedroom, wherever. The best coffee maker I have ever used. Never going back!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The OXO Brew 9-Cup Coffee Maker is a handsome, well designed, sturdy drip brewer that reliably and consistently produces good tasting coffee. As a matter of fact, it is recognized as an exemplary home brewer by the Specialty Coffee Association for delivering rich, gold standard coffee. This attractive, modern looking machine has a body that is mostly brushed stainless steel accented by black plastic. Additionally, there is an easy to read, recessed LED display on it’s front face that lets you know if the carafe is not in its proper position. The coffee maker is effortless and straightforward to use and operate. I appreciate the convenience of one-button brewing. The brewing process is very quiet, and satisfactorily quick. I like that the machine lets you choose how much coffee you’d like to brew. If you want a 5-9 cup, pot of coffee, you turn the dial clockwise. If you desire only 2-4 cups of coffee, then you simply swivel the knob the other way. Unfortunately, there’s no single serve option. The thermal carafe pours nicely, and doesn’t drip or dribble. Additionally, the carafe keeps the coffee hot for an impressive lengthy period of time. Cleaning the machine is fairly uncomplicated. Two minor quibbles are that the coffee maker is on the tall side, and could be a bit lighter. Overall, this is a solid and stylish coffee maker for dependable, delicious tasting coffee.

Makes great coffee

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received as part of the OXO Insiders to try out. The coffeemaker fits on the counter very well and appears to be well made. Uses cone filters, which I prefer, for maximum flavor extraction. The thermal carafe kept coffee at optimal serving temperature for at least 3-4 hours. Unit may be pricey to some, however, this is a unit that should last.
