Best Coffee Maker Even after 7 Years

coffee lid holds water

I was excited about this coffee maker, it's sleek design, etc. However, I am very disappointed with how the coffee lid holds water. I took the silicone mixing tube off to wash that and the lid and discovered that the lid holds water. You can shake the lid and hear the water inside it ... soapy water, no less, because I had washed it! This seems to be a major design flaw.

Good coffee maker, wish it was larger.

For two of us, the 9-cup makes two mugs a-piece. Maybe that means I drink too much coffee. We think the suggested proportions make the coffee too strong, so we reduce the grounds a little. All in all, a great coffee maker!

We were looking for a high quality brewer to make things a bit easier in the morning. After seeing James Hoffman's review, we decided to purchase this. Makes good coffee, not quite the same as our normal pour over, but that's to be expected. We especially love the carafe and the timing function for ease of use.

Good thing gone bad

This is my second coffee maker, I loved the first one, sadly it wore out.
I've had issues with a rubber/chemical smell and taste since I bought it in April. I followed all of the instructions to no avail, they even sent out new rubber pieces and it still has the smell and tasted of rubber. I would love to love this unit as did the last, but it is looking bleak.

Great tasting coffee, carafe keeps coffee hot!

We enjoy this coffee maker very much - the coffee stays hot inside the carafe for hours, and the carafe itself is cool to the touch. The timer works well, we have a fresh pot ready in the morning when we wake up :)
