This is the second one in a row that we've had that after about 3 years we've run into issues where it does not empty the full tank of water from the reservoir during the brewing process and we have to start it again to run through the last cup or two. I regularly descale it and follow the instructions on how to use it. For something so expensive, it should last more than 3 years. Might have to try another brand to see if it lasts longer.

Disappointing Coffee Maker

We bought this after reading hours of reviews of other brands. OXO makes some of our favorite kitchen tools, so we were looking forward to the upgrade in coffee maker. It does brew quickly and keeps the coffee hot, but that’s about all it has going for it. Even after waiting a few minutes after the carafe was full, it still sprayed or dripped coffee over the stainless steel. If you care enough to buy single origin coffee beans and freshly grind them, this machine makes them taste like a Keurig pod brew… water was too hot and machine brewed the beans too fast. The cup of coffee tasted flat, as all the character of the coffee was gone. We washed the individual pieces of the machine, ran plain water through the machine before first brew, and used filtered water, as we normally do, in drip machines. Sadly, for the price point and disappointing coffee results, this will be returned. We get a better brew out of our old, cheaper coffee maker.

Makes a delicious cup!

I'm very satisfied with the OXO 9 cup coffee maker. It makes a hotter cup than my previous coffee maker and does it in less time! I like the simplicity of the one button control. As long as you have the correct amount of water for the amount of coffee you've used, you'll get a great cup every time.
I have one question/observation however - You select whether you are making 2-4 cups or 5-9 cups. What if you want to make 4 1/2 cups?
