Does not live up to the price/hype

After reading reviews and watching videos I thought while expensive, I felt it was worth the price. . . unfortunately, two key issues make this purchase regrettable is the brew temp and/or the carafe thermal properties are not good at all, with the coffee temp barely hot immediately after brewing. And the carafe design is terrible, as when pouring the last amount of coffee, you must invert the carafe so much that you can barely empty it, and then it spills/dribbles out of the lid. Do not recommend this product, especially at this price.

Pricey, but well worth the money

Really like this coffee pot. I purchased it to replace a Cuisinart Grind and Brew when the grinder quit working. Zero regrets. I use a separate burr grinder for this coffee pot. Love the convenience of how I can add the water to the level I need, very easy to view and get right. Like that I can see the water heat to a boil, then start the pour over process. The coffee basket is hug by comparison to my old machine. Using commercial size filters and with the way the water is dispersed into the basket, I feel like you get every last bit of flavor out of the grind. The carafe is ideal for coffee, never deal with a glass pitcher and heating element again. Coffee stays hot for a good while, and still warm at the end of the day when I'm having coffee before dinner. Easy to clean, just a nice change up from the Cuisinart. After 3-years living in Italy, I've become somewhat of a coffee snob, and this coffee pot, in combination with my espresso machine satisfies my coffee needs (wants). Very happy I came across this machine, highly recommended.

Great Coffeemaker

I've used my OXO coffeemaker for about a year now and it's fantastic. I use the single-serve function daily by brewing into a thermal mug, and when I have a family gathering I use the full 12-cup mode. I read some previous reviews where some people had factory defect issues with their units, but that hasn't happened at all with mine. I highly recommend this coffeemaker.

Great design / concept; poor flavor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the design, not sure the cause but the flavor of the coffee is much worse than my old Mr Coffee. Coffee tastes more bitter.
