[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have multiple greenworks products and have been happy with each but this was a surprise dud. I got the leafblower with the 80v 2.5 ah battery and wish i had known that the expected run time was 12 - 15 minutes. The company should not be selling this battery
Pros: Powerful
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Bagman55. Thank you for sharing your experience. We are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the run time of this battery. The run time varies depending on the tool that it is being used in but also the load acting against the unit while in use. Essentially a larger battery will work without issue, a smaller batter is a preference for a power to weight ratio story, you may experience using a heavier battery is the added weight to the unit which may not be as comfortable to handle as a smaller battery. Hope this information helpful. If you require any additional support or have questions regarding a product, we urge you to try our Q&A section on product's page. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] For those who are wondering, the First generation 80V batteries:
5Ah battery weighs 2595 grams (5.72 pounds) and is 212mm (8 3/8 inches) 2Ah battery weighs 1622 grams (3.57 pounds) and is 163mm (6 3/4 inches)
I'm looking forward to the new generation 4Ah batteries I just purchased. No size and weight specs available but in the photos 4Ah seem to be the same length as 2Ah.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 of these batteries and both of them no longer function. The 1st lasted only 1 year and the second died after 2 years. Wouldn’t recommend!

Hello Short life
We are sorry to hear of your experience with the 80V battery & charger. To charge the battery, plug the charger into an AC power outlet. Insert the battery into the charger. Please take a moment to review the included video providing details how to charge the battery.
This is a diagnostic charger. The Charger LED Lights will illuminate in specific order to communicate. the current battery status. They are as follows: Blinking Green > Charging. Solid Green > Fully Charged. Solid Red Over > Temperature. Blinking Red > Charging Fault.
A green flashing light indicates that the battery is charging. A solid green light indicates that the battery is fully charged. Flashing red - fault. False Defect Note: When the battery is inserted into the charger, and the status LED flashes, remove the battery from the charger for 1 minute, then reinsert. If the status LED indicates normal than the battery pack is good. If the status LED is still blinking, remove the battery pack and unplug the charger. Wait 1 minute and plug the charger back in and reinsert the battery pack. If the status LED indicates normal than the battery pack is good. If the status LED is still blinking, then the battery pack may mean a faulty battery and needs to be replaced. Solid red means that the battery is at the wrong temperature to be charged (too hot or too cold). Bring the battery and charger indoors for about 15 minutes before trying to charge again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought the Blower and Trimmer and both came with the 80v batter. Both betteries only lasted one full season. Really though I would get more out of them. IMO these batteries are poor.
Pros: Convenient

Hello chris001.
The rate of degradation depends on how well the battery is maintained. There are different variables to consider giving an adequate answer. Greenworks takes as much pride in our battery and charger. The 80V platform batteries have been tested over 1000 charges. While we only work with the highest quality products, nothing is always perfect, but not to worry Greenworks 80V batteries carry a 4-year (homeowner) limited warranty. To help investigate and troubleshoot your battery, please contact Greenworks directly through chat on www.greenworkstools.com which will direct you to a Live agent or by phone on 1-855-345-3934 for a proper evaluation. All we ask is you have access to the battery and charger when you call in.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a standard 80v 4.0Ah which zi thought was excellent, but this BAB727 80v4.0Ah Pro is unbelievable! Last longer even when I use turbo mode on my mower.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two of these. I'm on my third year of using it with the 80v self propelled Greenworks mower. I mow April through October, averaging probably close to twice a week. My lawn takes about 70 minutes to mow. I easily get through an entire mowing with just one battery. Both will only charge to 2 bars after 3 years but still last for a complete mowing. Super happy with the mower and batteries.
