how to get excited about a battery. you open the package and their in your hand is a rectangle of considerable weight and shiney green pastic. then you breathe deeply and realize how much relief is provided in that chunk of power. you are once again relieved of gasoline madness, of a tool that won't start despite your most thoughtful prayers. you lift the battery, you slide it into your weed cutter, your blower, your whatever and you pull the trigger . instant start, right to work and you smile . thanks greenworks
Greenworks has great products that provide great power with efficiency throughout their entire line of products. I currently own multiple 80V products and they are amazing!
Great battery, I use the 5 Ah batteries in my self-propelled mower as well as my snow blower. I have a little less than 3/4 of an acre and i can mow the whole lawn on one charge. Wth snow blowing i can clear my driveway with a single battery, I bought an extra 5Ah so I can handle multiple runs as needed
I was very pleased to see these back in stock so we jumped on it right away. It's for a snow blower so I'm not able to test it as it is June here in the US. If they're in stock, pick 'em before your without power.
I bought this battery for the Chainsaw which my husband raves about! Getting him to tackle that honey do list is so much easier with the Greenworks chainsaw. The extra battery guarantees that he gets the honey do list done!! Not to mention that these batteries charge quickly and are efficient in powering the tools! It’s our aim to purchase more Greenworks tools!
Great, lower priced and lighter 80v 2 amp battery to use in my weed wacker, edger and leaf blower. I use the 4 and 5 amp batteries for more power needed in my lawn mower and snowblower. Greenworks is the best and makes my life much easier
I have a tiny 50x100 property. So, you can imagine how small the areas containing grass must be. I bought the 80V mower with the two batteries in the kit about 4 yrs ago. I'm not sure if it was a charger problem that cooked the battery, or if they aren't meant to last beyond the warranty period, but they're both now dead.
I will admit, the electric mower situation is perfect for small properties like this. So, I may consider a new one since the cost of two batteries is essentially, equivalent.

Hello xyriut,
We are sorry to hear about the experience you have encountered with this battery. The overall battery life is dependent on many factors such as where they have been stored, charged, and handled. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life. Please know that our batteries are covered by the manufacturer's warranty as stated in the owner’s manual period from the date of purchase. Nonetheless we are interested in hearing more about these issues especially, since it seems that you have two units experiencing the same problem. If you are interested in discussing these issues directly with our team, please give us a call at 1-888-909-6757 or send an email using the customer contact form located on our website. All we ask that you have access to the battery and charger so that we can complete troubleshooting with you and gather necessary unit information.
