Batteries don't seem to last long!

Jumped in to the electric mower, blower, weed eater game after a lifetime of gas powered. I like the equipment, it functions just fine, but after 1 year I have had two battery failures. Greenworks replaced the first battery without any hassle, still waiting on a replacement for second failure. I always store the batteries at half charge, but it hasn't seem to make any difference. I believe the circuit boards are the problem, I have tested the cells and they all seem to have the correct voltage per cell.

Dear TallGrassBlues,
We appreciate you letting us know and we apologize for your experience. We are happy to hear Greenworks Success Team, were able to support you with this warranty claim in a timely manner. Greenworks is committed to making sure customers are 100% satisfied with the quality and durability of each purchase. We are sorry to hear about the experience you have encountered with this battery. The overall battery life is dependent on many factors such as where they have been stored, charged, and handled. When the battery will not be in use, we suggest storing it indoors, in a cool dry area - away from direct sunlight. Leave the charger unplugged and the battery disconnected from the charger unless it needs charging. It is recommended to store the battery with a full charge, and if it is being stored for a period where no use is expected, to check on the charge every couple of months. If you notice the charge has dropped, we advise charging the battery back up to full before returning it to its safe storage place. Following these steps will ensure you receive the most of the battery life.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the 80V 4.0Ah Battery, and intend to use it to further the time my mower can operate. It is an excellent battery at a reasonable price.
80 volt battery Charge is too short will work for about 20 min and it’s drained. I can’t do my work because I have stop to recharge it. It’s a bummer and your extra battery costs more than the unit itself. So I won’t buy a 2nd battery. I sense a rip off so I won’t be buying any more of your products.

Hello Nikki I, We are sorry to hear that you were not completely satisfied with the run time and cost of this battery. Batteries are the costliest items to manufacture and ship in any kit. Full kits including a tool, battery, and charger are priced affordably so that consumers can begin building that line of tools and move forward purchasing tool-only units. When you purchase batteries on their own, it is more notable the cost that they carry. We apologize if this is of any inconvenience to you.
Run time do vary depending on the tool that it is being used in but also the load acting against the unit while in use. We would be happy to investigate to see whether your run time would be considered average; please contact us directly through chatbot on www.greenworkstools.com that will direct you to a live agent or call us on Greenworks Pro toll-free helpline at 1-855-345-3934.
Battery has issue. After two usage, it is stopped charging.

Has been my go-to for 6+ years along with the 4.0 & the 2.0 for quick jobs because of the lighter weight. These are durable workhorses for sure! Love all of the 80v greenworks tools! Lawnmower, blower, inverter, polesaw, stringtrimmer & edger. Chainsaw for Christmas hopefully...lol
All three . Operating five and six years including two batteries and charge no issues at all. Both 80v batteries charged on one charger sitting on shelf plugged into protected plug on inside wall of insulated garage all walls and ceiling. Own a 43 year old Honda mower considering 25” pro mower if I can use these batteries.
I would like to find the specifications of the 60V and 80V batteries. What do they weigh? What is the size, the watts output, and hours. thank you very much

Long lasting. I mean more like their life span . While I haven’t exhausted any yet , four years and running with no discernible power loss . These batteries have held up and preformed well thus far .
